Vanessa Trump breaks cover with poignant public return as Tiger Woods battles to rebuild his life

Vanessa Trump stepped back into the spotlight on Sunday in a rare public outing, just over a month after boyfriend Tiger Woods’ DUI arrest, and all eyes were firmly on her.

The 48-year-old cut a composed and polished figure as she attended the final round of the PGA Tour’s Cadillac Championship at Trump National Doral in Miami, a course owned by her former father-in-law, President Donald Trump. 

Dressed in effortless, country club chic, Vanessa wore a crisp white cable-knit sweater paired with oversized sunglasses and a lanyard credential, exuding understated confidence as she moved through the grounds.

By her side was her eldest daughter, Kai, 18, whom she shares with Donald Trump Jr. The teenager, already making waves in the golfing world, looked equally at ease in a sporty pink zip-up top as she joined her mother for the high-profile event.

 Kai is set to attend the University of Miami this autumn, where she will play on the college’s golf team, a detail that added a meaningful personal layer to the day’s proceedings.

Also in attendance were members of the Trump family, including Eric Trump, who was spotted alongside his father in the hospitality suite overlooking the 18th green.

The tournament itself marked a significant moment for the PGA Tour, returning to Doral for the first time since 2016, with a reported $20 million prize purse drawing global attention.

Yet while the event was packed with star power, Vanessa’s appearance carried a deeper narrative. It comes in the wake of a challenging period for her partner Tiger Woods, who was involved in a serious incident on March 27 when he flipped his SUV while attempting to overtake another vehicle in Jupiter Island, Florida.

The 50-year-old golf legend was subsequently charged with driving under the influence, property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test after authorities discovered two pills in his possession at the scene. He has pleaded not guilty and is due to appear in court this week.

Following the incident, Woods is believed to have sought professional help at an exclusive rehabilitation facility in Zurich, Switzerland. According to insiders, he has been undergoing “intense treatment” and is showing promising signs of recovery.

Despite speculation that the scandal may have strained their relationship, Vanessa appeared to quietly shut down rumours in the days following the crash.

A week after the arrest, she shared a loved-up photo of the pair on Instagram, simply captioning it: “Love you”.

The couple, who have been together for around 18 months after first being linked in late 2024, have largely kept their relationship out of the public eye. However, Vanessa has shown consistent support, attending several of Tiger’s events over the past year, including the Genesis Invitational and multiple TGL matches.

Notably absent from Sunday’s event, however, was Tiger himself, who is understood to still be focusing on his recovery.
