The Princess of York, 35, took to Instagram to celebrate Jack’s role as a father, posting two sweet photographs that captured his close bond with their children.

A second photograph offered an equally heartwarming moment from a wedding celebration, with Jack crouching down in a church pew to entertain one of his sons. Surrounded by colouring books, football-themed stickers and toys, the youngster appeared completely engrossed while his father focused all his attention on him.

Alongside the images, Eugenie paid tribute to Jack with a loving message. “Happy Father’s Day to the best there is.. chief child entertainer for besties wedding too,” she wrote.

“The boys couldn’t ask for a better Dada.”

The post quickly delighted royal watchers, who rarely get to see such personal family moments from the notoriously private couple.

Family life away from the spotlight

Eugenie and Jack have long sought to give their children a relatively normal upbringing despite their royal connections.

The couple welcomed their first son, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, in February 2021, followed by Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank in May 2023.

Since becoming parents, Eugenie has occasionally shared carefully chosen glimpses of family life, often marking milestones and special occasions with candid photographs.

The latest update showcased Jack’s hands-on approach to fatherhood, something Eugenie has frequently praised throughout their marriage.

A lasting love story

Eugenie and Jack first met during a skiing holiday in Switzerland in 2010 and have often described it as love at first sight.

After several years together, they announced their engagement in January 2018 before marrying later that year at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

Speaking previously about their relationship, Eugenie revealed she knew almost immediately that Jack was the one.

“We met when I was 20 and Jack was 24, and fell in love,” she told the BBC following their engagement announcement.

More than a decade after first meeting, the couple continue to present a united front, balancing royal duties, careers and raising their young family. Judging by Eugenie’s latest tribute, Jack’s greatest role remains being a devoted father to August and Ernest.
