Noah Wyle‘s wife, Sara, made a return to the small screen this year with a guest role in the Emmy-winning series The Pitt. It was one of her first appearances since she and Noah welcomed their daughter, Frances, in 2015, and the actress starred as Ashley Davis, a patient who was taking health advice from TikTok.
Despite husband Noah being the star of the HBO Max series, as well as a writer and director on the show, Sara auditioned the way everyone else did – through an audition tape – and Noah has now praised his wife for the decision, admitting he wanted her “to go for something bigger”.
“Sara had a really good time – well, it seemed like she had a good time!” he told HELLO!
“She’s a wonderful actress who has dedicated the last 10 years to raising our daughter and is now getting back out there. I had my eye out for a good part for her, and I wanted her to go for something bigger, but she wanted something manageable, and she did a great job. I’m really proud of her.”
© Getty ImagesThe Pitt season one was ripe with famous faces taking on guest roles, including Fiona Dourif’s father Brad Dourif, who played her character Dr Cassie McKay’s father. Season two also saw the real-life partners of Shawn Hatosy and Patrick Ball make an appearance.
Kelly Albanese, Shawn’s wife of 15 years, had a brief role in episode one as the wife of a patient, while Elysia Roorbach, whom Patrick met in 2023, had a multi-episode arc as a patient suffering from an unfortunate eye incident.
© AFP via Getty ImagesNoah recently received a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, and he was joined by Sara and Francis as well as his older children, son Owen and daughter Auden, and his parents for the ceremony.
“It was very humbling to be there in front of my kids and my parents and a lot of really old special friends,” he told HELLO! at PaleyFest LA 2026.
“Having something happen for real, that I literally have dreamt about most of my life… It is sort of an antiquated pageantry but it still confers that you’ve been around long enough to be embedded in the pavement in the town, so it felt really good.”
© Getty ImagesNoah welcomed Owen, 20, and 23-year-old Auden during his first marriage to Tracy Warbin, and they are both following in their father’s footsteps, with Owen a college student who is “taking all sorts of film classes with an eye towards ending up in this industry somewhere,” Noah told People.
Auden is an actress, also appearing with her father and Sara in Leverage: Redemption, and in the upcoming projects California Skate and The Vanishing Tour.
