Lindsie Chrisley has filed a protective order against her boyfriend, David Landsman.
Court documents obtained by Us Weekly note that Chrisley, 36, and Landsman were in a relationship for approximately two years until the incident on Friday, April 10, when he was arrested for aggravated assault, strangulation and battery.
The night prior, the pair were allegedly at dinner when Landsman saw a photo on Chrisley’s phone that he thought was of another man. Landsman allegedly became “verbally aggressive” until Chrisley explained that the photo was of him. Landsman reportedly “apologized for his behavior once he confirmed the photo was of himself.” Chrisley claimed that Landsman “remained somewhat on edge for the rest of the evening.”
After their dinner, Chrisley went back to Landsman’s home and allegedly told him “it would be best for her to step away from the relationship for the time being” due to “some things currently going on” in his life.
“The more [Chrisley] confronted [Landsman] about the lies he was telling in reference to the personal matters he is going through, the more [Landsman] became agitated and aggravated,” the docs read.
When Chrisley went to leave Landsman’s home, he allegedly “strangled” her “multiple times.” At one point, Landsman reportedly strangled her “with one hand and held her up so that her feet were off the ground.” Despite Chrisley yelling and asking him to “please stop,” Landsman allegedly “wouldn’t stop.”
“[Chrisley] punched [Landsman] near his eyebrow to get him to stop strangling her,” the docs noted. “[Landsman] grabbed [Chrisley] by the throat again and opened the door and threw her outside. [Chrisley] hit her head on the concrete. At this point, [Chrisley] was able to leave [Landsman]’s home.”
Landsman called law enforcement to make a report against Chrisley since she was physical with him in 911 audio obtained by TMZ. When asked whether he needed an ambulance, Landsman replied, “I mean, no. She punched me in the face. … There’s blood, but I mean, I’m OK.”
Landsman alleged that he didn’t think Chrisley had been consuming alcohol or drugs at the time and claimed she had “never” done anything similar to him before.
According to the court docs, authorities met Chrisley at her house and examined “injuries on her neck and her head.”
“Law enforcement noted that [Chrisley] had lacerations on her head from being thrown onto the ground and noted marks on [Chrisley]’s neck from being strangled,” the docs read.
Prior to this incident, Chrisley went to Landsman’s home to retrieve her dog around February 13, and he allegedly “held her down on the ground and held her wrists together and put his foot on her ankles to keep her from being able to leave.”
“[Chrisley] kept begging [Landsman to] let her go. She was eventually able to get a wrist free and punched [Landsman],” the docs read. “Once [Chrisley] punched [Landsman], [Landsman] stopped and [Chrisley] grabbed the dog and ran outside. [Landsman] followed [Chrisley] outside and pushed [Chrisley] down on the ground to get the dog back.”
The docs alleged that Landsman has strangled Chrisley “multiple other times” and has “been physically violent” with Chrisley’s son in a public setting.
“This has caused [Chrisley to] be extremely concerned for her safety and the safety of her minor son,” the docs read. “[Chrisley] prays that the Court issue an order for her protection at this time.”
The protective order noted that Landsman would appear before the court on May 6 to “show cause why the requests of [Chrisley] should not be granted.”
