Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Pack on the PDA for Red Carpet Debut at Tribeca Film Festival

Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau packed on the PDA during their official red carpet debut.

The couple held hands and gazed into each other’s eyes on Monday, June 8, while walking the red carpet at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City for the premiere of the pop star’s new concert movie, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris. Perry wore a white halter-neck dress with rose embellishments, with her hair in an updo, while Trudeau went for a smart black suit and white button-up shirt.

The former Canadian Prime Minister, 54, told reporters on the red carpet that he was excited to see the documentary for the first time.

“I saw the [tour] three times but I wasn’t really paying attention to anything but Katy,” Trudeau joked to Entertainment Tonight. “So, I’m looking forward to seeing the show for the first time!”

When a reporter mentioned that Perry and Trudeau “look great together,” she replied, “Thank you!”

The duo were linked in July 2025 during a few romantic outings in Montreal, shortly after Perry and ex Orlando Bloom officially confirmed the end of their relationship after a decade together.

Us Weekly exclusively reported earlier this month that Justin is “showing Katy his new home, where he wants her to live part of the year with him.” The politician purchased a two-story, nearly 5,000-square foot house in Montreal’s Outremont neighborhood for $3.1 million in February.

The couple potentially moving in together comes amid their effort to blend their two families. (Perry and Bloom, 49, share a daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, 5. Justin and his ex-wife Sophie Grégoire share three children: Xav, 18, Ella-Grace, 17, and Hadrien, 12.)

“Things between Katy and Justin are very serious,” a source exclusively told Us. “After her split from Orlando, Katy really wasn’t expecting to jump into another relationship anytime soon, but Justin completely caught her by surprise. He came into her life at the right time, and they have developed a really strong connection.”

The insider revealed that the pair started “integrating their lives more and more” ahead of Perry’s performance at the FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony and limited international concert dates this summer.

“Their relationship has deepened over the past several months, and they are about to celebrate their one-year anniversary,” the source said. “They both feel it’s important to blend their families thoughtfully and at a comfortable pace.”

Justin’s eldest son, Xav, opened up about getting to know Perry during an appearance on the “Can’t Be Censored” podcast in April.

“When I’m really happy with a song [I] send it [to her],” the aspiring musician revealed. “She’s always happy to give me advice or tell me what I should change.”

He added, “She’s super nice. She’s super down to earth. She’s great. I think that my dad’s happy so that’s important.”
