Harper Beckham makes bold statement at World Cup semi-final with unexpected show of support

Harper Beckham made a surprise style statement as she stepped out with her brother Cruz Beckham and his girlfriend Jackie Apostel to cheer on Spain during the World Cup semi-final against France.

The 15-year-old, who recently celebrated her birthday, was photographed in the stands in Dallas proudly wearing a bright red Spain jacket as she watched the European giants secure a 2-0 victory over France.

Harper appeared focused on the action alongside Cruz, 21, and his girlfriend Jackie, while older brother Romeo Beckham and dad David Beckham were also spotted in the stadium, opting for more neutral outfits.

A special connection to Spain

Harper’s choice of outfit comes as little surprise given her family’s close ties to Spain. Her father spent four years playing for Real Madrid between 2003 and 2007, with the Beckham family relocating to the Spanish capital during his time with the club.

Cruz was born in Madrid in 2005 while David was starring for the Galácticos, giving him dual British and Spanish citizenship. Even his name has Spanish roots, with “Cruz” translating to “cross.”

Harper, meanwhile, was born in Los Angeles in 2011 but has spent much of her childhood immersed in her family’s love of Spain.

Family outing

The outing also highlighted Harper’s close relationship with Jackie’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel, who has become a familiar face at Beckham family gatherings since she began dating Cruz in 2024.

The Brazilian-German singer-songwriter, who is 10 years older than Cruz, watched the match alongside the siblings as Spain booked their place in the World Cup final.

Hollywood star Timothée Chalamet, who has dual French and American citizenship, was also among the spectators, showing his support for France as Didier Deschamps’ side exited the tournament.

Beckhams enjoy football-filled summer

The Beckham family have become regular fixtures at World Cup matches across the United States this summer.

David was recently seen celebrating enthusiastically after Jude Bellingham’s match-winning performance helped England defeat Norway in the quarter-finals, while Victoria Beckham went viral after fans noticed her composed reaction to the dramatic victory.

With David’s ownership of MLS side Inter Miami and the family’s second home in Miami, the Beckhams have spent much of the summer enjoying football stateside.
