Steven McBee Jr.’s romance with Allie Eklund was front and center during the season 3 premiere of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys — which filmed months before their explosive split.
During the Monday, June 15, premiere of the Bravo series, Steven, 33, flew his new “friend” Allie, 29, out to Missouri one day after his father, Steven “Steve” McBee Sr., was sentenced in his crop fraud case. (Steve, 53, pleaded guilty to one count of federal crop insurance fraud in November 2024 and was sentenced to 24 months in prison and ordered to pay $3 million in fines and $4 million in restitution in October 2025.)
“I met Allie through Instagram. I slid in her DMs multiple times,” Steven told the cameras after picking Allie up from the airport. “Very few responses.”
Allie confirmed that Steven tried and failed to get her attention for some time before she agreed to go out with him.
“His first message was, ‘You are gorgeous Miss, you’re a Nashville gal, aren’t you?’ Didn’t respond,” Allie recalled, reading her past DMs to the camera. “Oh, my gosh, I tried to set him up with my sister!”
While Allie was reluctant to say “yes” to a date with Steven, he said their chemistry was evident from the first outing.
“The actual first dat we went on, I’ve never left the date feeling like, ‘OK, this could be someone that I want to spend the rest of my life with,’” he revealed.
Allie, however, told viewers that she was taking things much slower than the CEO of McBee Farm & Cattle.
“Steven and I have not kissed. Yeah. And I’m flying to Missouri for this man,” she confessed. “We have such a strong emotional connection. There’s no way we’ll have both. Do you know how rare it is to get both?”
During the episode, Allie saw Steven’s house for the first time — which was toilet papered by his brother — and eventually had her first kiss with the rancher.
“You look good out here on this farm,” Steven told Allie while pulling her in toward him.
“I can feel like he’s trying to go in for it a bit, and my body language is kinda pulling back naturally,” Allie admitted during her confessional.
Allie, however, eventually gave into Steven’s advances as they were standing outside his home and taking in the McBee family’s land.
“I’m a sloppy kisser. I love just a fat, wet one,” Allie revealed after Steven landed a series of PG-rated kisses on her. “Steven is more of a [peck guy].”
The model laughed, asking, “Do you not use tongue? Stick your tongue in my mouth!”
Even with Allie criticizing Steven’s kissing style, he told the cameras that she gave him hope amid his family’s financial struggles.
“Leading up to my dad’s sentencing, I had the mindset [that] my dad’s sentence [was] going to be my sentence,” Steven explained. “[Now] I’m going to focus more on my personal life and wanting to build my own family. Having Allie up to the farm is the start of that.”
Six months after their first kiss was captured on film, Steven and Allie called it quits after he accused her of cheating on him while she was at Stagecoach Music Festival in April.
After attending the California music festival together, Steven returned home a day early and proceeded to accuse Allie of getting too cozy with one of her male friends at the event.
“I just know there was hand holding, grinding, dancing, drunken stupor at an afterparty,” Steven alleged in a since-deleted Instagram post on April 27.
Steven then allegedly sent Allie a series of derogatory messages, calling her a “f***ing hooker” and other names, which she posted on her Instagram Story.
Allie denied the allegations that she cheated on Steven. (The man she was accused of being too close to has also come forward, claiming nothing happened between them.)
“I’m not looking to escalate things any further. I’d like this to end here. I’ve said what feels necessary in response to his actions and I plan on taking time to process and move forward,” Allie wrote in her own social media statement at the time.
Steven later publicly apologized for his derogatory comments and texts, exclusively telling Us Weekly on May 1, “There’s no excuse or justification” for what he did.
“I do have an anger problem — I’ll be the first to admit it,” he explained. “The result of my actions has me in the situation I’m in today. This was a major, major step backwards.”
Steven told Us that he planned to attend a six-day intensive retreat designed to address deeper-rooted patterns from his upbringing.
Allie, meanwhile, was “having a hard time with the breakup,” a source told Us on May 22, noting that she “still can’t wrap her head around things since she feels she did nothing wrong.”
