Shirley MacLaine enjoyed a sunny lunch outing ahead of turning 92 years old.
The iconic actress was photographed exiting a restaurant in Malibu, California, on April 18, holding on to a companionās arm. She wore a long brown cardigan over a brown top and pants, sporting black glasses.
Just a few days later, she celebrated her 92nd birthday on April 24.
MacLaine is clearly a fan of Malibu lunch outings.
Late last month, she was snapped smiling with a plate of oysters and a beer in Malibu. The āSteel Magnoliasā star, wearing a mint green hoodie and black glasses, grinned at the camera while holding up her fork.
MacLaine was alsoĀ spotted at celeb hotspot Nobu in MalibuĀ back in January, linking arms with a male companion during the daytime outing.
MacLaine has credited her longevity to her long dance history.
āI started my dance training at age 3 and stopped at about 67,ā she said inĀ an interview with PeopleĀ in April 2024. āIt taught me discipline, loving music, working with people and dealing with pain.ā
She also noted she kept a grateful attitude.
āI have my friends and I am really healthy,ā she said.
In December, MacLaine received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the at the Dance Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
āMy mother took me to dancing class when I was three because I had weak ankles and I fell in love with it,ā she shared during her speech. āBut hereās what it also included: discipline, love of music, a sense of cooperation with other people, being on time.ā
āAnd from that day on, I went to class every day until in my sixties,ā she continued. āI would have to say that dance, what Iāve learned being part of it is why Iām still here.ā
She also noted that getting an award for dancing was āthe most important acknowledgement [she] could have.ā
