Russel Crowe, 62, looks loved up with girlfriend Britney Theriot, 42 in stunning red carpet appearance

Russell Crowe turned heads on Sunday as he unveiled his dramatically slimmed-down physique while attending the prestigious Taormina Film Festival, with girlfriend Britney, glued to his side.

The Beautiful Mind actor, made a loved-up appearance with his partner of six years, at the world premiere of his new Australian action thriller Bear Country in Italy – which will see him reunite with “Unhinged” helmer Derrick Borte. 

Fans couldn’t help but notice Russell’s visibly slimmed down figure, cutting a sharp look in a tailored black suit, and matching tie – while Britney more than held her own in a navy plunging gown, strappy black heels and positively glowing skin. 

The father-of-two, opened up last year about his weight loss journey during an appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast. Admitting that he weighed 277lbs when he completed his last film, Nuremberg, but is now down to 222lbs.

During the lengthy chat, Russell revealed that he has cut down on his alcohol consumption, but was honest about the fact that the biggest contribution to his weight loss is connecting with the health services platform Ways2Well, founded by healthcare entrepreneur Brigham Buhler.

He revealed he’d been getting injections in his shoulders and knees, as well as IV treatments, as part of the company’s holistic wellness plans, and it seems they are what have helped the most. 

“It’s calmed down my body’s inflammation,” he continued. “I think we talked before about just how many old injuries I carry, you know, and how, like, the injuries in my shoulders are deeply arthritic, but we can now see in an ultrasound over time, how what was messy a year ago and like big thick bands of arthritis now is just lessened, probably by about 70%. On one area in my right shoulder, probably about 90%.”

The star’s New-Orleans born partner, whom he was first linked to in 2020, looked ageless beside her actor beau. It is of course no secret however that the real estate agent is a number of years Russell’s junior.

Posting on X earlier this year, the Oscar winner clarified that Britney is not decades younger than him, despite repeated online rumours suggesting otherwise.

“I have clarified this on many occasions, but some people prefer the fiction,” he wrote. “It is so ungentlemanly to do this. However, my lovely Britney is 42 years of age. I am 61.”

The 18-year-age gap clearly does not pose a problem for the stylish pair, who seem to be as in love as ever both on and off the carpet. 

In May, the couple attended the French Open in Paris, sharing sweet moments of affection court side at Roland-Garros. Russell was photographed leaning in to kiss his partner as she smiled beneath oversized sunglasses and a slick red lip, while another showed the pair clasping hands during an intimate moment.

During an interview on 60 Minutes, the actor explained why he has no plans to marry again following his divorce from former wife Danielle Spencer. “All these reports coming out that Britney and I are engaged and I’m going to get married again? No,” he said. “My life is joyous and happy, why ruin that with a wedding?”
