K. Michelle is sounding off on her fractured friendship with Porsha Williams.
The âLove âEm Allâ singer doubled down on her claims that Williams was âplotting againstâ her while filming the current season of âThe Real Housewives of Atlanta,â telling Page Sixâs âVirtual Reali-Teaâ that she quickly became wary of the reality starâs intentions once cameras started rolling.
âI feel like even coming in, thatâs who she is,â K. Michelle said of Williams. âThatâs why I was already skeptical about even walking in â period.â
Although Williams introduced K. Michelle to the âRHOAâ cast this season, the musician claimed she never needed the reality star to secure a spot on the Bravo series.
âAnd I know we have people that are brought onto the show, this and that, but I was going to be on the show without you. That wasnât about you,â she explained.
K. Michelle shared that she initially hoped to enter the group alongside castmate Angela Oakley after the two began developing a friendship off-camera.
âI actually wanted to be brought in by Angela because we had started to form a relationship and I wanted to be brought in by Angela,â she said.
Still, K. Michelle decided to give Williams the benefit of the doubt due to their history together.
âSo when I was told [it was going to be] Porsha because we did the movie and we did the âgo girl,â we support each other on pictures and things like that, I was like, âOK. Iâm going to go in with an open mind and Iâm going to watch for myself the behavior,ââ she recalled.
According to K. Michelle, what she observed only confirmed her suspicions.
âAnd the behavior is as I thought,â she claimed. âItâs the behavior of being very well PRâed up, knowing how to talk at this point and basically knowing how to sit there and smile and deal with that.â
âBut also knowing what youâre doing and thinking youâre the producer,â she continued. âI could never be produced. You will never yo-yo me. Youâre never going to produce me.â
The tension between the women came to a head during the May 17 episode of âRHOA,â when K. Michelle accused Williams of making a cryptic joke about oysters during a cast dinner on the groupâs Dallas trip.
K. Michelle told âVirtual Reali-Teaâ she believed the comment was a subtle attempt to embarrass her over longstanding online rumors about her vaginal hygiene.
The singer also alleged that Williams, alongside Phaedra Parks and Drew Sidora, were not genuinely interested in forming authentic friendships with her.
Instead, K. Michelle said she naturally gravitated toward building bonds with castmates Kelli Ferrell, Shamea Morton, Pinky Cole and Oakley.
âAnd I just feel like I didnât come in like people expected,â she said. âAnd once I didnât go or pick this group or do this, then it was like, âOh, you didnât fall in line.ââ
While K. Michelle and Williams once publicly supported one another, it appears their friendship has officially soured â and viewers are now watching the fallout play out on-screen.
âThe Real Housewives of Atlantaâ airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo with new episodes available to stream on Peacock.Â
