Congratulations are in order for Rebel Wilson, who announced the birth of her second baby, Rose Estelle, on Monday.
The Pitch Perfect actress, 45, shared the happy news on Instagram, writing: “Proud to announce the birth of our 2nd daughter Rose Estelle!
“What a gorgeous blessing to have another little girl! Now on May 4th it’s now 4 of us!
The now mother-of-two welcomed Rose with her wife, Ramona Agruma, who gave birth to Rose and whom she married in 2024. She continued: “Ramona and I are feeling so incredibly grateful and blessed to grow our family, thank you everyone for all the well wishes.”
Ramona also commented on the post, adding: “Cheers to our family! It’s 4 of us now.”
Friends react to the baby news
Fans were quick to flood the couple with messages of support following the new arrival.
“Oh my goodness. She is so beautiful and perfect. Congratulations!” penned one friend, while another said: “Congratulations!!! So happy for you all!”
A third added: “She is absolutely gorgeous Rebel. Thrilled for you and your growing family. Congratulations mamas!!!”
Rebel’s baby announcement
Rebel previously admitted she shared the news of her growing family slightly earlier than planned, thanks to her first daughter, Royce.
“So my one daughter, Royce, she just goes around saying everything to anybody, teachers at school, people in the grocery store. She’ll be like, ‘Yeah, I’m getting a baby sister,'” Rebel revealed on the Today show.
“And then people come up, random people go, ‘Oh, congratulations on the new baby.’ So I thought, okay, I better put it out on social media. She’s a real chatterbox.”
Rebel added: “One baby was the real shocker, just really changes your life, so I’m hoping two just fits in. My wife Ramona is pregnant, really about to pop, so, yeah, it’s really exciting to have another little gorgeous baby.”
The pair announced their second pregnancy in December, with Ramona writing: “The happiest news in our family, it will be 4 of us soon! Baby number 2 is on her way. I love you @rebelwilson.”
Rebel Wilson’s court battle
The happy news of Rebel’s latest family arrival comes amid an ongoing legal defamation case against her in Sydney. The Bridesmaids actress is being sued by Australian actress Charlotte MacInnes, who starred in Rebel’s latest 2024 comedy, The Deb.
According to the BBC, Charlotte claimed Rebel ruined her reputation by calling her a liar for complaining about sexual harassment by producer Amanda Ghost but later withdrawing it to further her career. Charlotte denied ever making such a complaint.
