It’s fair to say that the Princess of Wales and her younger sister, Pippa, are huge fans of Wimbledon, frequenting the famous tennis tournament regularly.
Mother of three Pippa comes into her own when it comes to courtside glamour. Even though she hasn’t been seen at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2024, it’s always wonderful to look back at her timeless looks from years gone by.
In 2016, Pippa went to the famous SW19 venue alongside her younger brother, James Middleton. The brunette, who married James Matthews in 2017, wore an eye-catching, nude-toned dress that featured a blue floral overlay. The dress boasted distinctive ruffles, particularly around the bust area, adding a pretty, coquettish finish to her overall look.
The frock was designed by Beautiful Soul London, and its floaty proportions were ideal for keeping cool yet still appearing elegant at Wimbledon. Pippa styled her dress with a subtle, light-blue clutch and a pair of Hollywood-esque shades.
Pippa’s ruffled looks
It seems that Pippa is partial to a ruffle when she heads to Wimbledon. In 2016, on day one of the tournament, Pippa wore a white and pink dress designed by Suzannah London.
The dress had a sumptuous, fluted hem, which gave it a mermaid-esque shape. Hip-hugging in cut, the feminine, vintage floral print gave her an elegant stance. Pippa carried a red boxy clutch bag, donned a pair of white high heels, and wore her hair down in romantic loose waves.
In 2019, Pippa sported a dazzling vintage-inspired midi dress from the Norwegian brand byTiMo. Designed in a soft pink with blooms etched on the front, the ruffled dress made a pretty yet subtle statement. clearly attracted attention from many, as Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden wore the same style not long after.
In 2024, the brunette beauty famously teamed up with her big sister, Princess Kate, to watch the Men’s Singles final. Pippa coordinated with her sibling, sporting a frilled blush-pink creation by Beulah London, which sat magnificently next to Kate’s purple Safiyaa dress. Pippa’s dress also had a very special meaning attached to it – it was the same frock she wore to her little brother, James’, wedding to Alizée Thevenet in 2021.
