Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ditched by A-list friends but don’t understand why: report

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly lost multiple once-close friendships with their celebrity pals.

Markle and Harry’s 2018 wedding was a star-studded affair — with Oprah Winfrey, Victoria and David Beckham and more A-listers watching the nuptials — but a significant number of the couple’s friendships have fizzled out in the eight years since, the Daily Mail reported Saturday.

The couple has “no bridges left to burn” — though they reportedly don’t think it’s due to their own behavior, the outlet reported.

“They don’t get it. They never think it is them,” one associate of the Sussexes reportedly revealed.

“They love famous people — they are very name-droppy. The association gives them a kick,” the source continued. “But if someone stops calling, they don’t ask why.”

NewsNation’s Paula Froelich told the outlet that some of the couple’s celeb friends have distanced themselves because they’re wary of Markle associating them with any of her branding.

“No one wants to hang out with Meghan,” she added. “Lots of reasons, but she might sell clothes while using their name.”

Froelich claimed Winfrey is one of the couple’s former pals who has since distanced herself after her bombshell two-hour interview with Markle in 2021.

Winfrey did not appear on Markle’s now-canceled Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan,” or feature Markle’s 2021 children’s book, “The Bench,” in her popular book club.

A source told the outlet that some of the couple’s famous pals are also tired of footing the bill for them in the form of private jets or paying for events.

“They ask for a lot of resources to be spent as they believe it is a privilege to be in their circle,” a source claimed. “They think they are entitled to all the private planes.”

The source added of Markle, “She is the cheapest!”

More A-list pals whose friendships have reportedly cooled with the Sussexes include George and Amal Clooney, the Beckhams and Serena Williams.

“She has since put distance between herself and Meghan,” with a source claiming, “[Williams] is not a drama queen and she tires of it all,” the Daily Mail reported.

Page Six reached out to Meghan and Harry’s rep, as well as reps for Winfrey and Williams, but didn’t receive an immediate response.
