Son of former Canadian prime minister, Xavier Trudeau, may be focussed on making his own way in the music and modelling world, but it seems the 18-year-old has also been enjoying a blossoming romance away from the political spotlight.
Justin Trudeau’s eldest son, has been linked to model and social media influencer Pariya Carello, 19, since August 2025, when the star revealed she was dating Trudeau’s famous son with a cozy picture to her instagram story.
While Xavier has grown up in the public eye, he and Pariya have largely kept their relationship low-key, although the influencer’s 382,000 followers are lucky enough to get regular snaps of the pair on her story.
Back in October of last year, Pariya posted a trio of images celebrating her beloved’s birthday. The captions read: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE”, “YOU ARE MY WORLD”, and finally, “I CAN’T WAIT TO CELEBRATE MANY MORE BIRTHDAY’S BY YOUR SIDE.”
It seems while the pair are only young, they are very much enjoying their new found romance, as Pariya and Xavier posed for snaps in another instagram post on the influencer’s page in November.
The couple could be seen sharing a sweet kiss in Miami as they stood in the ocean and embraced lovingly. The post was accompanied by no other than Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” as its background tune – a clear nod to Xavier’s father’s own recently confirmed relationship to American singer, Katy, in July 2025.
Xavier recently broke his silence on his dad’s romance and publicly shared his opinion of the pop superstar. “She’s cool, she’s nice,” he said in a recent social media video. “We talked for hours, talking about my music. She gave me advice and next steps for me and stuff.”
The advice was no doubt invaluable to Xavier, who is building a R&B music career under the moniker Xav.
“I always loved music, whether it’s creating it, listening to it,” he explained on The Brandon Gonez Show podcast in May. “I always had a passion for it.”
It seems Xavier has a passion for music and maintaining a life away from the shadow of his father’s political endeavors. He told GQ earlier this month that he knew from an early age that he had no intention of following in his father’s footsteps.
“But I did feel pressured. I think that’s why I wanted to do something totally different and obviously change people’s lives, but in my own way,” the budding star said.
“Building a new name for myself and being my own man was a super important thing because people knew me as Trudeau’s kid, and that’s slowly changing. I want to be known as Xav.”
