Inside Khloé Kardashian’s transformation over the years as she celebrates her 42nd birthday – see photos

Khloé was born on June 27, 1984 and grew up surrounded by the limelight. Her parents, Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian divorced when Khloe was seven. But before she starred on reality television, her family was already in the public eye.

Robert was the lawyer in the highly publicized O.J. Simpson case. And her mom Kris married the 1976 Summer Olympics decathlon winner Caitlyn Jenner (then Bruce). The blended family was immediately high profile, preparing Khloé for a life of fame.

In 2007, the now iconic reality television show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, premiered on E!. Khloé and her siblings, Kim, Kourtney, and Rob all starred in the show, serving up drama for 20 seasons over the span of fourteen years.

KUWTK launched Khloé into stardom and followed the trials and tribulations of her life, from her arrest in 2008 to the breakdown of her relationship with Tristan Thompson.

On Kourtney and Khloé Take The Hamptons, fans watched Khloé and her big sister Kourtney open a DASH boutique pop-up shop for the summer in Southampton Village.

In 2009, Khloé married Lamar Odom just 30 days after meeting him. Their wedding was aired during KUWTK‘s season four premiere. The professional basketball player went on to play a major role in the series.

After four years of a turbulent marriage, Khloé filed for divorce in 2013, with it finalized in 2016. In Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom, the 2026 Netflix documentary about Lamar’s life, the two opened up about their marital issues at that time, including his infidelity and substance abuse issues. 

Lamar admitted that he became addicted to cocaine, going as far as freebasing the drug, altering it into crack for a stronger high. For years after their separation, Khloé supported Lamar through his addiction, but she chose to remove him from her life in 2016, only reuniting in 2024 for the season six premiere of The Kardashians.

Khloé started dating another professional football player, Tristan Thompson, in 2016 after being set up on a blind date by their mutual friend Brandon Jennings. After dating for over a year, the couple announced they were pregnant in late 2017 on Instagram.

“My greatest dream realized! We are having a baby!” Khloé wrote to Instagram. “Tristan, thank you for loving me the way that you do! Thank you for treating me like a Queen! Thank you for making me feel beautiful at all stages! Tristan, most of all, Thank you for making me a MOMMY!!!”

But, just four months later, videos of Tristan being intimate with another woman appeared on TMZ. The scandal broke just before their daughter True was born. The two went on to have a dramatic relationship, with even more  ensuing. 

In July 2022, Tristan and Khloé welcomed their second child, Tatum, together via surrogacy. These days, Tristan is still in his ex-girlfriend’s life, but not romantically.

True made Khloé a mom. She was born on April 12, 2018 and is her mom’s best friend. After True graduated from second grade, the reality TV star wrote to Instagram: “Time is flying faster than I ever imagined – it feels like I blinked and my baby grew up.”

She continued: “I’m so proud of the respectful, sweet, loving, smart, beautiful girl she is. But man this all happens so quickly. In a blink. Wishing my sweet True endless joy and asking God to watch over her always and forever.”

Tatum was born on July 28, 2022. On The Kardashians, Khloé shared openly about her struggles bonding with him, since he was born via a surrogate. But, in the years since, there is no missing their sweet connection.

For his second birthday, Khloé couldn’t help but gush over her son.

“My precious son, I know you were mine in another lifetime. I know this because of the way you look at me. The way we giggle when we stare at one another,” the proud mom wrote on Instagram, continuing: “The bond you have with your sister. The relationships you have with everyone in our family that was here before you. It’s as if You knew us all before. The insight you already have. The knowledge you possess. The way you know how to love. The way you communicate!! And you are only two years [old].”
