The one where Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid go their separate ways.
After more than a decade together, the former flames have allegedly called it quits, per Daily Mail.
According to the outlet, Cox, 62, and McDaid, 49, amicably split late last year. Pals of their pair shared that the breakup wasn’t “ugly,” but that the duo was living “different lives.”
One friend told Daily Mail, “Johnny speaks incredibly highly of Courteney. They had a very deep relationship and they remain extremely amicable. They are great friends and care about each other very much.”
Page Six reached out to a rep for Cox for comment.
The Snow Patrol musician and “Friends” star first met at a house party hosted by the latter in 2013.
“I remember seeing Johnny and going, ‘Oh, wow. He’s really intense.’ He’s got the eyes, and he’s playing the piano,” Cox said.
“And I thought ‘Oh he’s really really handsome,’” Cox recounted while on “The Howard Stern Show” in 2022.
By 2014, the Northern Irish singer popped the question to the “Cougar Town” alum.
“I’m engaged to him!” Cox tweeted beneath a selfie at the time.
Several months later, in 2015, McDaid told People, “I just want to be with this woman for the rest of my life. That is all that matters. The ceremonies are academic.”
However, by December 2015, Page Six had confirmed that the lovebirds called off their engagement.
At the time, a source told People, “They’ve been having problems for a long time.”
Cox and McDaid ended up reconciling in 2016, with the actress explaining that their romance felt “different” the second time around.
“We were engaged for over a year and then we broke up,” Cox said while on “Running Wild with Bear Grylls” that year.
“He’s from Ireland. And the way he regards love is precious. We have to treat it in a different way. It’s more special — you coddle it,” she expressed.
Cox added she didn’t know how to “regard love” the same way her partner did.
“I definitely made a lot of mistakes that I see — whether it’s codependency or people-pleasing. I didn’t know how to bring it in. It was always external,” she confessed.
“Everything’s new,” she gushed. “And we have both really worked on ourselves on the parts that needed the most attention. And it feels really different.”
Throughout the course of their relationship, Cox admitted she wanted to have a baby with McDaid, telling NewBeauty in 2017, “I could carry someone else’s egg. I may be one of the older people doing it, but I would love to, with Johnny that is.”
Cox was previously married to David Arquette from 1999 to 2013. The couple share daughter Coco, 22.
The “Scream” actor, 54, met his second wife, Christina McLarty, 45, in 2011.
The couple went on marry in 2015. They share sons Charlie, 12, and Augustus, 9.
