Howie Mandel made an eyebrow-raising sex confession during a recent podcast episode with his daughter, Jackelyn Shultz.
âI have this lady that gives me tuggies,â Mandel, 70, said during the August 11 episode of his âHowie Mandel Does Stuffâ podcast. âItâs 25 bucks, and I get hand jobs.â
Mandelâs guest, podcaster Camilla Araujo, joked that $25 is a âgood priceâ for such a service, but Shultz, 41, didnât seem to find the exchange as humorous.
âIâm always so uncomfortable when you make these jokes,â she told her dad. âThis is not, like, a father-daughter conversation usually.â
Schultz also asked her father whether her mom would âbe upsetâ with the revelation and if itâs âconsidered cheating.â (Howie has been married to wife Terry Mandel since 1980. The pair share Jackelyn, son Alex, 36, and daughter Riley, 33.)
âYou can call her,â Howie quipped.
The Americaâs Got Talent judge suggested that Terry, also 70, was in on the joke when his reps sent a photo to the Daily Mail showing the comedianâs wife wearing a glove and holding $25.
Howie has often joked about his marriage to Terry. In 2023, he quipped to People, âMy wife doesnât speak or understand a word of English, so thatâs what works for us. I donât know how to say âI am funnyâ in her language, but it works for us.â
He continued, âCommunication is overrated. Iâve been married for 43 years and we havenât said a word to each other.â
The former Deal or No Deal host has also been candid about Terryâs impact on his decision to seek help for obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).
âIâd have my children and my wife spray everything down and not touch things. I wouldnât take things that they were handed. I would remove some of their toys that I saw touch the ground. I was making their life miserable,â he told Today.com in 2023. âMy wife just gave me an ultimatum. She goes, âI canât do this anymore and I canât have the children do it anymore. And if you donât get help, thatâs it.â So it was an ultimatum that made me ultimately go to therapy, and I got diagnosed [with OCD].â
He added, â[Terry] has been nothing but supportive. Itâs important to have people around you who are there for you. Thatâs key, but they donât know to be there for you if you donât talk about it.â
