Emily VanCamp doesnât share about her family often. But the Revenge actress made an exception on Fatherâs Day.
Emily, 40, posted rare photos of her husband, Josh Bowman, 38, and their two daughters Iris, four, and Rio Rose, two, to celebrate her partner. In a post to her 1.6 million Instagram followers, Emily shared photos of the trio on the beach and on rolling hills smiling and jumping into the air.
âHappy Fatherâs Day to the best Dadda I know!â The Resident actress captioned the photo. âYou donât just make your own children feel seen and loved but you do the same for any kiddo who comes into your world.â
She went on: âItâs why they all know you by name on the school yard and flock to you every morning knowing that they will be enveloped with your kindness, your thoughtful ear, your childlike sense of play that is a true gift. Our girls are so lucky to call you Dad and Iâm honored to watch you thrive in this incredible chapter of our life. We love you so much.â
Fans loved the rare insight into Emily and Joshâs family life. One person wrote: âWell said. Born to be a dad, that one.â Another person commented: âI have had the pleasure of seeing this firsthand. Josh is a wonderful father â and you are a wonderful mother, Emily!â
Inside Emily and Joshâs life together
Emily and Josh met on the set of Revenge in 2011. Their characters, Emily Thorne and Daniel Grayson, were love interests and tied the knot on the show. And just like on-screen, Emily and Josh fell in love and married.
The two wed in an intimate ceremony in December 2018 in the Bahamas. âThank you to all of our friends and family who made their way to celebrate with us! We are eternally grateful,â Emily wrote on Instagram after her wedding.
The coupleâs two daughters
Three years after tying the knot, Emily and Josh secretly welcomed their first daughter in August 2021. âWelcome to the world our sweet little Iris,â the Brothers & Sisters actress wrote to Instagram. âOur hearts are full.â
Another three years later, the family grew. Emily announced the birth of their second daughter, Rio Rose, to Instagram in March 2024, saying: âWe love you so much.â
Since becoming proud parents of two, the couple keeps their family life private. Emily doesnât share Iris or Rio Roseâs faces on social media, instead opting for sweet moments of their real lives, posting her children from the back or covering their faces with emojis.
After leaving The Resident in 2021, Emily shared how happy she was to have the quiet and private time with her family.Â
âThat was beautiful in and of itself â to finally have a little privacy. The timing wasnât exactly the same, so I was wearing a [prosthetic] belly over my belly,â she shared with Deadline. âYou know, after all the Marvel stuff it was nice to not have to focus so much on all of those things.â
