Pulling no punches.
Host Shane Gillis dragged Chelsea Handlerâs dinner at Jeffrey Epsteinâs New York home into Netflixâs âRoast of Kevin Hartâ special on Sunday night.
Both comics attended the event as part of the streamerâs 2026 Netflix Is a Joke festival, with Gillis making the surprising Epstein joke shortly before introducing Handler to the stage.
âChelsea is a Zionist. Not saying thatâs a good or bad thing,â the âTiresâ star, 38, began. âSpeaking of dead kids, sheâs a big fan of abortions. Chelseaâs been scraped more times than the grill at Benihana.â
He continued, âSpeaking of tossing tiny shrimp into a childâs mouth, Chelsea Handler went to dinner at Jeffrey Epsteinâs house in 2010. Look it up, there are articles.â
Gillis went on to say that the dinner wasnât âlike a big partyâ because there were only âlike seven people there,â including âlike Prince Andrew and Woody Allen.â
But the Epstein jokes didnât end there, because Handler appeared to make one of her own shortly after taking the stage.
âWelcome to tonightâs episode of âTo Catch a Predator,ââ the former âChelsea Latelyâ host, 51, said. âThis is a real whoâs who of statutory rapists.â
She added, âWeâre all just lucky none of you could afford an island.â
Handler previously spoke about the âawkwardâ and âweirdâ dinner she attended at Epsteinâs home during an appearance on Rob Loweâs âLiterally!â podcast in February 2021.
The podcast episode came less than two years after the disgraced fiancier died in an apparent suicide while in jail on child sex-trafficking charges in August 2019.
âI did go to dinner at Jeffrey Epsteinâs house,â Handler told Lowe. âI didnât know who Jeffrey Epstein was. It was like twenty â I donât know what year it was, but it was a long time ago.â
She continued, âI went with Katie Couric. Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn were there. Charlie Rose was there.â
Handler also told Lowe that she didnât stay at Epsteinâs home âfor very long,â although she said she did run into then-Prince Andrew at the dinner.
âWhen we got there, I was like, âWhat is this gathering?ââ the comedian recalled. âOh yeah, Prince Andrew was there with â no, with no one. He was there with Jeffrey Epstein.â
She added, âYeah, we had dinner, and it was so awkward and so weird. I was like what are we doing here?â
The âIâll Have What Sheâs Havingâ writer insisted that the 2010 dinner was the only time she crossed paths with Epstein.
âIâve never been on the private island, and Iâve never been on his plane,â she told Lowe. âIâve met him one time, and that was the time.â
Epsteinâs Little St. James Island and private jet made recent headlines after the US Department of Justice released over 3 million pages connected with the late financier.
While the documents reportedly showed that many people visited Epsteinâs private island or flew on his private jet, the Justice Department stressed that being named in the documents was not evidence of wrongdoing.
