Leave it to Brooke Shields to be the coolest person in the room (or, in this case, on the street) with her “it” girl summer outfit. Although her whole look is a vibe, the first thing we noticed was her warm-weather-approved pants that also happen to be a bit controversial (depending on when you wear them). We’re taking a page out of her book by rocking white denim sooner rather than later.

Shields was spotted in New York City wearing her relaxed, wide-leg white jeans with a cream-colored sleeveless top, studded flats, a designer bag and a Yankees hat. We told you she was cool, right? This look isn’t complicated to recreate, but it can start with the Time and Tru Women’s Wide-Leg Jeans.

These Walmart-brand jeans cost under $30 and come in four washes. For the Shields feel, snag the white hue, but we wouldn’t hold back on the light, medium and dark washes, too. They have the classic five-pocket and belt loop design and are made of 99% cotton and 1% elastane for a bit of stretch.

Cindy Crawford just turned a simple pair of white jeans into the chicest denim trend of the summer. The supermodel stepped out looking effortlessly put together, proving that sometimes the freshest warm-weather outfit isn’t a breezy dress or linen pants — it’s crisp white denim styled with confidence. It’s sophisticated, timeless and exactly the kind […]

The fit of these jeans is what really makes them must-try summer pants. They’re relaxed with a wide-leg finish, so you won’t feel trapped in the scorching heat. Plus, the high rise is versatile to wear with all kinds of tank tops, shirts and blouses. You can also pair them with a sweater as we move into fall.

Real Walmart shoppers agree that these wide-leg jeans look and feel good, and the word “flattering” keeps coming up time and time again.

“They’re super comfortable, flattering, and the quality feels way better than expected for the price,” one verified purchaser wrote.

“The weight is perfect and can still be worn inside in the Southern heat!” another happy shopper shared.

“These jeans are so flattering. The fullness of the leg is just right to be stylish but not a bell bottom. White jeans can be tricky if they are too thin; these are perfect. They look and feel like a high-end pair of designer jeans,” a five-star reviewer said.

It might not feel like Shields reinvented the wheel by wearing white jeans in the summer, but she reminded us that a quality pair can be styled through the seasons — even after Labor Day!
