Kaitlin Olson shows off fiery red hair transformation in photo from High Potential set

Kaitlin Olson is making good use of all the perks of being on set.

Over the weekend, the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actress got a rise out of fans as she shared a glimpse into filming High Potential, which is currently developing its third season.

The series, which follows a single mom who helps solve crimes during her shift as a cleaner at the police department, has been a huge hit for ABC, becoming among the most-watched shows for the network, alongside The Rookie and 9-1-1.

Taking to Instagram, Kaitlin, 51, shared a glammed up selfie from set, in which she is making a duck face at the camera, and her signature blonde hair appears dyed a fiery red.

“No filter!” she teased in her caption, adding: “(Just 90 minutes of hair and makeup, perfect lighting and @nanhower behind the camera) Effortlessssssssss…”

Fans were then quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over the selfie as much as High Potential itself, with one writing: “Now this IS a show where the woman is driving the story.”

Others followed suit with: “Are you sure you weren’t supposed to be a redhead? This color looks magnificent on you or you make this color look magnificent. Either way this is a gorgeous rich color on you Kaitlin,” and: “We love this show and you! I see the evolution of your hair throughout the series and love where it’s ending up! Keep shining @kaitlinolson your main character energy is awesome and you got the chops for so many characters,” as well as: “Loooooove this color on you!!!”

Earlier this year, Kaitlin expressed her appreciation for her High Potential crew, as well as on Hacks, where she guest starred, over their handling of her difficult schedule while she was aiding her father, who passed away in May.

Speaking with Vanity Fair about her dad’s passing she revealed she learned the news while on the High Potential set. “I left production. I felt terrible — I obviously never do that,” she said, adding: “I literally just got in the car and drove home, called them on the way, and was kind of shut down for a little bit.”

“Everyone over at Hacks was so incredibly flexible and kind and understanding,” she added of the Emmy-winning show, on which she guest starred as Jean Smart’s character Deborah Vance’s daughter DJ. “This is a gigantic nuisance, and I’m a guest star on their show.”

It was on her very first day finally on set for Hacks fifth and final season that her father lost consciousness. “Honestly, at this point, it’s a blur,” she said, recalling: “I collapsed in the line producer’s arms. I said, ‘I have to go.’ And he said, ‘Go.'”

“Shutting down a production like that is devastating,” she continued. “I’ll forever be grateful to them for their grace around that.”
