Zara Tindall‘s attendance at the Magic Millions equestrian carnival calls for a solid summer wardrobe, and her sundress from 2017 is certainly a piece that has stood the test of time.
Nine years ago, Princess Anne‘s daughter was spotted at the event held at Doug Jennings Park in Australia alongside her husband, retired rugby star Mike Tindall, in a cut-out white dress.

The mini style featured a scalloped hem, capped sleeves, and a button-down front, as well as a Mandarin collar and broderie anglaise detailing over the entire garment.
She styled the breezy dress with a pair of tan suede gladiator sandals, huggy hoop earrings, and a burgundy leather clutch.

Of the timelessness of Zara’s look, fashion stylist Leanne Jones tells us: “Broderie Anglaise is a longstanding summer staple in many women’s wardrobes. I still have a much-loved Whistles broderie anglaise dress I bought in 2013, and it remains just as wearable today as it was then.
Zara teamed her white sundress with gladiator sandals and aviator sunglasses
“I’d love to see Zara bring this piece back into rotation this summer. To bring it up to date, I’d pair it with layered gold jewellery and one of the season’s key footwear trends – the suede flat sandal, which would keep the look relaxed but current. Alternatively, for something more elevated, a sculpted heel would instantly modernise it.”
Zara also wore white to the Magic Millions Raceday
Braving the temperatures of the Australian winter, Zara also added a pair of black aviator sunglasses. It seems 2017 was the year of the white dress, as she also wore a similar style to the Magic Millions Raceday a week later.
On this occasion, the royal opted for a fit-and-flare cocktail-style dress that was sleeveless and came paired with an avant-garde green and navy hat featuring a checked design. Creating a maximalist aesthetic, Zara was not afraid to also go big on her footwear choice.

The cousin of Prince William opted for another pair of gladiator shoes in the form of emerald green heels. Meanwhile, she coordinated her navy manicure with a geometric clutch.

For the 2026 Magic Millions carnival, Zara took elements of both of her looks from 2017 and infused her look with a modern feel. She looked every bit the royal Barbie in candy pink, stunning in a Rebecca Vallance midi dress featuring an A-line skirt, high neck, and puffed sleeves.
