House star Lisa Edelstein was unrecognizable from her days on the hit medical drama while celebrating her 60th birthday in style. The actress shared a video on Instagram that saw her dressed in a chic white collared dress paired with nude pointed stilettos, as she danced around the room to the tune of “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen.

Lisa looked stunning with a full head of gray curls and black-framed glasses, and shared in her caption that she couldn’t be happier to become a sexagenarian. Couldn’t have had a more beautiful last night of my 50s! Thank you toall my beautiful friends and family for ending this decade in such a magical way! Today begins a new journey xxxx,” she wrote.

While she looked unrecognizable with her gray hair, Lisa was just as beautiful as ever, 15 years after leaving House for good after season seven. The 60-year-old portrayed Dr Lisa Cuddy, the no-nonsense hospital administrator, opposite Hugh Laurie for seven seasons.

Dr Cuddy and Hugh’s character, Dr Gregory House, were long-running love interests on the show, until Lisa left due to a pay dispute in 2011. The network proposed salary cuts for the actors, and Lisa decided not to renew her contract, so her character was written out of the series.

It was very sad and very disappointing and a really difficult decision to make,” she told TV Line. “But ultimately I felt like it was the best thing for me to do for myself and for my business.

It’s interesting to throw yourself back out there into the world after you’ve had such an amazing job after seven years,” she continued. “You get cushy about it, and you lay back, and you let yourself be taken care of for a while. And having to get your hustle back on is both terrifying and really exciting.”

Lisa went on to star in several major projects, including Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, The Good Wife, The Legend of Korra, The Good Doctor, The Kominsky Method, 9-1-1: Lone Star and more recently, Long Story Short.

The gray-haired beauty previously opened up about the rarity of landing a leading role in her late 40safter starring on Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce. I think Hollywood mirrors what’s happening in our culture, so it’s not like it’s in its own separate track,” she told the Daily Dish.

“But certainly for myself, I got this job when I was 48 to be the lead of a romantic dramedy, and that wouldn’t have happened 20 years ago, that wouldn’t have happened 10 years ago. I don’t know what shifted, but it’s a wonderful thing to be able to tell a sexy, fun, lively story about a woman in her late 40s.

While Lisa still acts on occasion, her true passion is in painting – a high school hobby which she picked back up again during the COVID-19 pandemic. I gave myself permission to really start making stuff again. I made a lot of drawings in high school, and it stopped because I didn’t want to ruin the paper,” she told Forbes

Having this has been just a dream come true because I paint. I just had Covid. I made all of these paintings instead of just sitting there like a log.

Her artworks have been shown in several galleries since, and she cites her family members and old photographs as major inspirations.
