The decision has reportedly been months in the making – but do you think William and Kate made the right one?

The all-boys boarding school, which costs £63,298 per year, has been attended by no fewer than 20 former Prime Ministers and is associated with the upper echelons of British society.

Writing in HELLO! shortly after the news was announced, Sir Anthony Seldon, former headmaster at Wellington and Brighton College, said the Berkshire-based school will allow George to grow up “unhassled and unfussed, allowing him to prepare for a lifetime of public duty”.

Others have argued that, as the future King, Prince George, 12, should indeed receive the very best education that the country can provide.

However, one HELLO! commenter said sending George to Eton means that “he will never know what most people experience”.
