Dylan Dreyer recently enjoyed a few days off from Today to spend some quality time with her children during Spring Break – and she certainly made the most of it!
The NBC star jetted off to the West Coast with her sons Calvin, nine, Oliver, six, and Rusty, four, swapping New York for sunny California.
The 3rd Hour anchor shared several pictures from their trip on social media, including a snapshot of her relaxing on the beach.
In the picture, Dylan looked happy and radiant as she posed for a photo with her youngest son Rusty, the clear blue ocean visible in the background. “California sunshine and best friends…just a perfect family getaway!!” she wrote in the caption.
Dylan shares her three children with ex-husband Brian Fichera, from whom she separated in 2025. The pair have remained on good terms since their split and even went on vacation together as a family last summer.
The star opened up about the transition in her personal life to Jenna Bush Hager while guest hosting Today with Jenna & Friends back in November.
© Getty ImagesShe said that she had asked her oldest son: “I asked Calvin, ‘What do you think a family is?’ And he said, ‘Well, it’s a group of people that love each other.’ And I said, ‘And that’s what we are, and we will always be that for you. But Mommy and Daddy work better as friends than as husband and wife.’ And he doesn’t care about a title. He doesn’t care what we are officially. None of them do. They are surrounded by love every single day.”
Another big change for Dylan and her sons was moving from NYC to the suburbs at the end of 2025. She told Jenna: “I found this house, and it is so freeing to be renting again because the kids come home with all this stuff. I love school in the suburbs because they’re celebrating all the holidays and they’re coming home with, like, scarecrow drawings and that’s what they’re learning that day.”
© InstagramShe added that the house was a rental, so she was using her children’s artwork to decorate it, rather than worrying too much about furnishing it. “There are leaves on the floor in the living room, and I’m like, I don’t really care that much,” she added.
Dylan is feeling positive about the future and recently opened up about the possibility of dating.
© InstagramDuring a chat with HELLO!, she said: “I would say I’m open to it,” she said, adding: “I don’t know how to do it… it’s been a long time and my focus is on the kids and the family. So if something were to happen organically and it’s easy, you know… but I’m not searching for it. If something happens, I’m open to it.”
