Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s son James Wilkie Broderick is stepping into the spotlight in style.
The 23-year-old aspiring actor has unveiled a series of striking new modelling portraits on Instagram, showcasing his sculpted physique, movie-star looks and growing confidence as he carves out a career of his own in the entertainment industry.
In one dramatic black-and-white image, James posed against a brick wall in a fitted black tank top that highlighted his muscular arms and broad shoulders.
Another portrait saw him leaning casually against a fireplace in a vintage graphic T-shirt and paint-splattered trousers, while a close-up shot captured his tousled hair, piercing gaze and undeniable resemblance to both of his famous parents.
The glossy photographs were taken by acclaimed photographer Brad Walsh for his upcoming book FELLA: Images of Men.
“So dope!! Thank you @bradwalsh,” James wrote alongside the images.
Among the first to respond was his proud mother, who couldn’t contain her admiration. “Ah handsome. And happy. Xxx, mama,” Sarah Jessica commented.
The photos quickly drew attention from fans, many of whom remarked on how much James resembles a young Matthew, while others pointed out that he has inherited his mother’s distinctive features and effortless charisma in front of the camera.

The Brown University graduate has already begun building an impressive résumé. Before completing his studies in 2025, he landed a small role as a valet in the television series Lady in the Lake, starring Natalie Portman.
He later shared the screen with his father when he appeared in an episode of the hit CBS drama Elsbeth in 2025. The experience proved to be a memorable one for both father and son.
“It was great. We had two days together,” Matthew previously told E! News.

James also appeared in the 2025 short film Why Not, Pat? and has two upcoming projects already in the pipeline. According to his IMDb profile, he will appear in the short film Alter Egos and the feature film Days Ending in Y, where he takes on the role of The Kid.
Despite growing up in one of Hollywood’s most famous households, Sarah Jessica has always encouraged her children to find their own path.
Speaking on The E! News Sitdown With Bruce Bozzi, the actress reflected on the advice she and Matthew have given their eldest son as he embarks on his career.
“I really want my children to be educated in the ways that are fulfilling to them,” she explained.
© Instagram“I don’t think that there is one way to be an educated person or to be equipped to be an adult and try to fashion a life for yourself after what would be considered ‘finishing college’.”
The Sex and the City star added that she hopes her children pursue work that is meaningful and challenging while remaining capable of supporting themselves emotionally and financially.
“You want for them to be pursuing things that are exciting and challenging and hard and gratifying and to be able to ultimately take care of themselves, support themselves emotionally, financially,” she said.
“And that they can be in the world and be a reliable person to themselves and to other people.”
The family have long maintained a close bond despite their high-profile careers. Earlier this year, James joined his parents at the Golden Eve event in Beverly Hills, where Sarah Jessica was honoured with the prestigious Carol Burnett Award.
Sarah Jessica and Matthew, who married in 1997, welcomed James in October 2002. They later expanded their family with twin daughters Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell, now 16, who were born via surrogate in 2009.
