Don’t blame him, blame Disney.
Ryan Seacrest copped to canceling on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding — despite RSVP’ing yes — because he scored a hosting gig.
“I RSVP’d to go, and then Disney hired me to do the Fourth of July 250 special on the 3rd and the 4th,” the “American Idol” host explained on his eponymous radio show Monday. “So I had to cancel.”
The Emmy nominee admitted to “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” listeners that he felt “kind of torn” about the decision.
“Trust me, I went through the minutes,” he clarified. “I couldn’t have done both. And the actual wedding was in the afternoon.”
While Seacrest was “so honored and thrilled to be invited,” he “had no choice” since “it’s part of [his] job at Disney to do these things.”
The “Wheel of Fortune” host noted that he verbally confirmed to Swift and Kelce in person that he would attend their ceremony.
“The irony was, after I RSVP’d to the wedding, I saw them at dinner at a restaurant and we talked about the event,” he recalled, sharing that it was his “first time” meeting the NFL player.
“[Swift] was like, ‘Oh, it’s going to be so much fun. We’re gonna have the best time. It’s gonna go late,’” Seacrest continued. “I [was] like, ‘I cannot wait. I’m so excited.’”
Despite not going, Seacrest joked that he has been “inside screaming” while keeping the couple’s wedding details “secret” from his co-hosts.
He praised himself for staying “very composed” on the outside as his colleagues discussed “reports about the wedding.”
Swift and Kelce said “I do” in front of more than an estimated 1,000 guests at Madison Square Garden on Friday.
The event was an A-list affair, with Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon and more stars in attendance.
The bride’s former BFF Blake Lively was noticeably absent, with the “Gossip Girl” alum spotted in upstate New York with her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
Also absent were some of Kelce’s fellow NFL players — and “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast co-hosts, Will Compton and Taylor Lewan, put the Kansas City Chiefs tight end on blast.
The latter confessed the snub has made him question whether something is “wrong” in his and Kelce’s friendship, while Compton, for his part, made headlines for sharing how “flabbergasted” he is by the diss.
