Ruby Rose wrote about the night Katy Perry allegedly sexually assaulted her in a 2011 essay.
In the resurfaced piece, written for Australian news outlet news.com.au, she wrote about her journey to sobriety and details a drunken night out with the pop star.
âI had been off the grog for 30 days â my first attempt at sobriety â and I was out partying with Katy,â Rose wrote at the time.
âWhat I do remember thinking was: âIâll have a drink tonight, I deserve one. I mean, whatâs the worst that could happen?â Well, not stopping at one drink, or 10, and then vomiting on Katyâs foot was the answer.â
Also in the essay, Rose wrote that the specific night out with Perry inspired her to stop drinking.
âThe short answer: I threw up on Katy Perry. And thatâs one of the reasons Iâve been off the grog now for almost 90 days,â she penned.
âBefore you jump to conclusions, nothing horrific happened, nor have I been hit with a DUI â but I just had enough, and it has been one of the best decisions of my life.â
Page Six has reached out to reps for Perry and Rose for comment, though Perry has vehemently denied Roseâs accusations.
The model accused the singer of sexual assault in a series of Threads posts on Sunday, and said the alleged incident occurred at a nightclub in Melbourne, Australia, when she was in her 20s.
âKaty Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a sât what she thinks,â Rose claimed in response to Complex Musicâs post about Perry, 41, reacting to Justin Bieberâs Coachella 2026 performance.
âShe didnât kiss me. She saw me ârestingâ on my best friendâs lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her,â she claimed about Perry in subsequent Threads messages.
Rose alleged, âAfter it I threw up on her, I told the story publicly but changed it to be a âfunny little drunk storyâ because I didnât know how else to handle it. Later she agreed to help me get my US visa. So I kept it a secret. But I DID tell yall she wasnât a good person. â
In another Threads message, Rose said itâs taken her âalmost two decadesâ to make the accusation public.
âThough I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes. Thank you for seeing me,â she stated.
Perryâs rep denied Roseâs claim in a statement to Page Six.
âThe allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies,â the rep said.
âMs. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named,â the statement continued.
On Tuesday, Page Six reported that Perry is being investigated by Australian officials over the alleged incident after Rose wrote via Threads that she had âfinalized all reportsâ about Perry that same day.
âMelbourne Sexual Offenses and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are investigating a historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010,â Acting Sergeant Paul Hogan of Victoria Police said in a statement to Page Six on Tuesday.
âPolice have been told the incident occurred at a licensed premises in Melbourneâs Central Business District.â
Since Roseâs bombshell claim, a former club manager for Spice Market has spoken out about the incident, claiming both women had âtoo much to drinkâ the night the alleged assault took place.
The ex-manager also claimed he did not see any alleged sexual assault take place, or any vomiting, referring to Roseâs allegations that she threw up when Perry allegedly assaulted her.
