Chris Hemsworth has faced down some of Hollywood’s biggest on-screen battles, but it seems nothing quite prepared him for this.
The Thor star took to Instagram to share a jaw-dropping video of his teenage daughter, India Rose, showing off her fearless side in a high-adrenaline moment that had even him stunned. Captioning the clip with palpable pride, Chris wrote: “Close call and wildly impressed more girl hung onto this landing! So proud.”
In the footage, India is seen tackling a daring stunt that requires both strength and razor-sharp focus. What begins as a bold attempt quickly turns into a heart-stopping near miss, before she regains control with remarkable composure, sticking the landing in a way that feels nothing short of cinematic.
For Chris, who shares India, 13, with wife Elsa Pataky, the moment clearly struck a chord. Known for keeping much of their family life grounded and private in Byron Bay, the couple occasionally give fans glimpses into their children’s adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors.
And if this latest video is anything to go by, India has inherited not only her father’s athleticism but also his appetite for pushing limits.
The proud dad’s reaction says it all. Equal parts relief and awe, his words capture that universal parenting moment of watching your child do something both incredible and slightly terrifying.
Fans were quick to flood the comments, praising India’s bravery and skill, with many noting how naturally she handled the high-pressure moment. Others couldn’t help but point out that growing up with a Marvel superhero dad might just come with a few unexpected perks.
Chris and Elsa have long embraced an active, nature-filled lifestyle for their three children, raising India and twin sons Sasha and Tristan in Byron Bay, Australia away from the Hollywood spotlight.
Surfing, martial arts, and outdoor adventures are all part of daily life, and it’s clear that confidence and resilience are being nurtured every step of the way.
“It feels like summer all year round where we live,” Chris told People.
“We’ve got a big plot of land, a farm with horses, and our kids surf and fish and ride motorbikes all day,” he continued, before adding with a smile, “And we pretty much do the same.”
Elsa echoed the sentiment, explaining that living immersed in nature has been transformative for their family dynamic.
“It’s just being able to enjoy nature,” she said. “When we go to a city, it’s hard for us as a family because we live outside, basically. We are in contact with nature all the time.”
“It helps a lot, especially in the house with three kids,” she added.
