The Bad Gal is back!
Rihanna surprised fans by hitting the stage to perform at Jay-Zâs âExtra Inningsâ concert at Yankee Stadium in New York.
Early Monday morning, the âDiamondsâ singer joined the rapper and sang the hook to their 2009 hit, âRun This Town.â
After finishing that performance, Rihanna told the sold-out crowd â which included her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, and their 10-month-old daughter, Rocki â âYâall know Iâm rusty, right? Itâs been a while. Yâall with me right now?â
The Fenty Beauty founder, 38, then performed her 2015 track âBitch Better Have My Money.â
Before exiting the stage, Rihanna told the audience: âI missed this sât, yâall! New York, I love you guys!â
The âNeeded Meâ songstress hasnât done a live show since March 2024, when she performed a private, 90-minute concert in India at the lavish pre-wedding festivities of Indian billionaire heir Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
Before that, Rihanna performed a medley of her hits â while pregnant with her second son, Riot â at the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show.
Jay-Zâs third and final concert at Yankee Stadium was initially supposed to start at 8 p.m. on Sunday night.
However, the show was delayed for hours due to hordes of fans breaking through security and forcing the iconic Bronx venue into lockdown.
The â99 Problemsâ emcee, born Shawn Carter, didnât take the stage until 12.15 a.m. Monday.
Jay-Z, 56, apologized for the chaotic scenes when he took to the stage, telling the crowd that there were âlike 10,000 people outside, and we closed all the doors, and somebody rushed the door.â
He added, âThey closed the door for you guysâ safety and everyoneâs safety outside. I donât want to start the music and people get trampled.
âIâm really sorry for the inconvenience, but I had to make sure everyone was OK,â Jay-Z continued. âI appreciate your patience.â
Several other stars joined the hip-hop mogul onstage Monday, including Pharrell, Teyana Taylor, Usher, Jermaine Dupri and, of course, Jayâs megastar wife, BeyoncĂ©, who also took the stage for night one of his Yankee Stadium residency.
