Queen Camilla always looks acutely stylish, and for the past few weeks, weâve noticed that a permanent fixture of her looks has been the constant presence of Launer London handbags.
This is particularly significant as this brand is synonymous with her late mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II. The monarch was famously forever loyal to her favourite handbag brand, Launer London. The upmarket company has been supplying the royal family with leather goods since 1968 and even holds a royal warrant.
On Tuesday, mother-of-two Camilla attended the third royal garden party of the season, alongside her husband, King Charles.
Her Majesty recycled an Anna Valentine dress that she first wore in 2025 for the Thanksgiving Service for VE Day and during the royal state visit to the US last month. She carried Launer Londonâs âBellaâ clutch in black.
And at the first garden party of 2026, Camilla was a vision in her blue Fiona Clare coat, her resplendent hat by Philip Treacy, and Launer Londonâs âToscaâ clutch in white.
Perhaps this is Camillaâs way of secretly paying tribute to her mother-in-law, a reminder of her at events the royal was known to adore.
Queen Elizabethâs handbag pact
Queen Elizabeth even carried her beloved Launer London handbag during her last public appearance before she died in 2022. As she met with former Prime Minister Liz Truss, tucked gently in the crook of her arm was the unmistakable black, structured silhouette of her favourite Launer handbag.
âItâs so heart-rending that she carried my bag on the last day of her life,â Launerâs CEO Gerald Bodmer told H! Fashion at the time.
The royalâs iconic bag featured the brandâs signature gold laurel wreath clasp and was timelessly elegant. It was a reminder of the monarchâs consistent poise and dignity.
It has been rumoured that Queen Elizabeth owned hundreds of Launer handbags, but Gerald Bodmer dispelled this myth, offering a more modest estimate. âProbably about 15 or 16,â he exclusively revealed to our sister publication.
Gerald also noted that on multiple occasions, the late royal stated: ââI donât feel fully dressed without a bag.â
