Princess Charlotte is growing up before our eyes and so too is her style. From her sweet smocked dresses to polished coats and bespoke designer pieces, the young royal is following in her mother Princess Kateâs stylish footsteps. A style icon in the making, sheâs already proven that she has the same sell-out power.
For HELLO!âs Fashion Editor Laura Sutcliffe, Charlotteâs style evolution is an âexciting watch.â
âFrom an early age, the Princess of Wales has dressed her only daughter in beautiful, well-made pieces that are not only traditional but classic in cut. Weâve seen her as a toddler sporting Mary Jane shoes, ditsy print floral dresses, and the most adorable cardigans,â Laura says.Â
As sheâs gotten older, the Prince and Princess of Walesâ daughter has shown her personal flair through her accessories: bracelets, hair bows and sunglasses.
âItâs great to see Charlotteâs individual style touches â from her Pandora charm bracelets to her plethora of hair bows. In a world where many girls her age are wearing crop tops and lip gloss, Kate dresses the young royal age-appropriately, which is hugely refreshing,â Laura says. âThere are just two years until she enters her teens, and I do not doubt that she will retain her style ethos and explore the wonderful world of regal fashion further. After all, her mother sets the finest example.â
With the Princess turning 11 on May 2, 2026, HELLO! is taking a look back at, you guessed it, 11 of Charlotteâs best looks.
WATCH: King Charles playfully pats Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte
For her world debut on May 2, 2015, the Prince and Princess of Walesâ daughter emerged from the Lindo Wing wearing a bonnet from Irulea, a Spanish childrenâs store in San Sebastian. The royalâs Spanish nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, reportedly purchased the piece.
Wearing a flower crown and a dress by Pepa & Company, Princess Charlotte looked every inch a little Princess at her aunt Pippa Middletonâs wedding in May 2017.
The little Princess looked proud after being promoted to big sister in 2018. Charlotte visited her newborn brother Prince Louis for the first time dressed in a Little Alice London dress with an Amaia Kids navy cardigan and Mary Jane flats.
No sneakers? No problem. Princess Charlotte played soccer in a pink floral Marie-Chantal dress and sandals at the King Power Royal Charity Polo Match in 2019.
The Princess was seen wearing a hat for the first time at Queen Elizabethâs state funeral in September 2022. It marked a quietly grown-up moment for the late Queenâs great-granddaughter. Charlotteâs wide-brimmed hat from Jane Taylor London was teamed with a black wool coat from Ancar for the solemn occasion.
On the historic day her paternal grandfather was crowned, Charlotte wore a silk crepe dress by Alexander McQueen, the fashion house behind her motherâs iconic wedding gown. The coronation service in 2023 was the Princessâ first time wearing a McQueen piece out. She completed her outfit that day with a bespoke Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen headpiece.
The Princess attended Trooping the Colour in 2023 in a sweet white and red sailor-inspired dress. The nautical look complemented her brothersâ red ties and their dadâs uniform.
The Princess looked pretty in polka dots at Wimbledon in 2024. The young royal joined her mother in the Royal Box, wearing a navy and white Safiyaa dress, reminiscent of an Alessandra Rich dress that the Princess of Wales wore to the menâs singles final in 2022.
Charlotte and her mother Catherine coordinated in aquamarine outfits for Trooping the Colour in 2025. The Kingâs granddaughter finished off her look with the same diamond horseshoe brooch she wore to her great-grandmother Queen Elizabethâs state funeral in 2022.
Catherine Walker is a label long associated with both the Princess of Wales and Princess Diana. On Christmas Day 2025, Princess Charlotte stepped out in her first coat dress by the designer loved by her mother and late paternal grandmother.
