Pink’s husband Carey Hart confesses ‘it gets harder’ on daughter Willow’s first birthday after family move

Halfway into 2026, the year is already proving to be quite eventful for Pink and Carey Hart’s family unit.

The couple, who have been married since 2006, share two kids, daughter Willow Sage Hart and son Jameson Moon Hart, with whom they moved to New York City at the start of the year so Willow can pursue specialized education with hopes of a career in musical theater.

Just weeks after teasing that the teen already has an exciting new role lined up, Carey, 50, took to Instagram to commemorate his daughter’s 15th birthday, with a glimpse at her new life in the city, plus shots from her childhood that captured her bubbly spirit.

“My beautiful daughter Willow. Thank you so much for choosing me to be your father,” he gushed in his caption, pointing out how bittersweet it is to watch your children grow up. “Each year that goes by, is one year closer to you being on your own.”

“And [though] it gets harder for me each year, I couldn’t be more proud of the woman you are becoming,” he continued. “There is no doubt you are gonna change the world one day.”

“And I could not be more proud of you, Munchkin. Always know that your old man loves you more than life itself. Happy 15th birthday.” Fans praised the couple for raising such a talented teen, with one commenting on his post: “You guys sure know how to raise great human beings. Happy birthday, Willow!”

The 15-year-old is a massive musical theater and Broadway aficionado, often catching shows with her parents (who document the experiences on their social media pages), and performing on stage with Pink, 46. Most recently, the pair performed “Hopeless War” from the Broadway production of The Outsiders when Pink guest hosted The Kelly Clarkson Show.

It was on that very episode that the “Just Like Fire” singer also confirmed that the family had indeed moved to the Big Apple because she was “an amazing mom,” adding: “So Willow could study theater and experience more Broadway.”

Of course, beyond just the musical talent, Willow and her younger brother Jameson, nine, have also inherited their parents’ thrill-seeking ways. During a previous conversation with Fatherly, Carey shared some insight into his parenting, and why he’s unafraid to introduce his kids to things other parents would find “dangerous.”

“I got my kids on dirt bikes and bicycles. People are taking so much away from their children by coddling them,” he explained. “I don’t want to rob them of the amazing experiences I’ve had because of what people may think or say.”

“I’ve been teaching my daughter to shoot guns since she was three years old. I want to instill that power in her. I love exposing my kids to things. I let them try it at a young age.” As for his approach to stirring up the “parent police,” he was unafraid to ruffle feathers. “I don’t care at all,” he simply affirmed.
