Basking in the elusive newlywed glow, Harriet Phillips attended the final day of Royal Ascot on Saturday with her new husband, Peter Phillips, in tow.
The 45-year-old looked glamorous in an angelic white Beulah dress, which featured a gorgeous lace overlay and a chic, belted waist. The mother-of-one added a coordinating netted hat from Jane Taylor, carried a resplendent STOW London bag, and sported glittering jewels by Pragnell. But did you get a glimpse of her shoes?
The NHS nurse finished off her ensemble with a glorious pair of gold, baroque-embossed heels by Manolo Blahnik, which were part of an exclusive collaboration with her wedding dress designer, Emilia Wickstead.
Priced at £1,135, the shoes can be purchased at Net-A-Porter, and the website says of the style: “Joining forces with Emilia Wickstead, Manolo Blahnik’s ‘Hangisi’ are reimagined with a regal quality. Crafted from gold-toned jacquard, they are finished with a crystal buckle and rest on 70mm heels.”
High-flying Hangisi
Sarah Jessica Parker’s iconic Sex and the City character Carrie Bradshaw still remains the ultimate style icon, with the fictional fashionista’s wardrobe adored and admired by millions.
Carrie’s signature style was her extravagant heels, in particular her penchant for Manolo Blahnik’s ‘Hangisi’ heels, which are instantly recognisable due to being crafted from the finest silk and encrusted with a crystallised brooch. The character famously wore a pair on her wedding day to Mr Big, the ultimate Cinderella shoe of modern times.
Princess Kate’s Manolos
Harriet is also following in the footsteps (quite literally) of the Princess of Wales, who also has her own pair of Hangisis. In 2022, Kate donned the iconic pumps in a portrait of herself and Prince William, which was unveiled at the University of Cambridge’s Fitzwilliam Museum. In the painting, Kate teamed the stunning emerald green heels with her equally special metallic green midi dress by now-defunct fashion label, The Vampire’s Wife.
It’s not just Kate; earlier this year, Queen Mary oozed glamour as she stepped out at Moltke’s Palace in Copenhagen.
King Frederik’s wife, 54, viewed an exhibit of painted elephants to mark the 30th anniversary of the Danish Psychiatric Foundation. The brunette royal donned the ‘Hangisi’ pumps in a bold canary yellow hue.
