Penélope Cruz looked the picture of understated glamour as she stepped out in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 20, 2026. The 52-year-old actress looked remarkably fresh-faced while attending SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations Presents The Invite at The Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists, where she was joined by co-stars Olivia Wilde and Seth Rogen.
Penélope opted for a sleek, pared-back look for the occasion, wearing a navy double-breasted blazer over a fitted white vest and tailored trousers with gold button detailing. Her glossy caramel-toned hair was worn in loose waves around her shoulders, while soft makeup allowed her radiant complexion to take centre stage.
The actress posed with Olivia and Seth at the event, which celebrated their upcoming A24 film, The Invite. Directed by Olivia, the darkly funny relationship comedy follows a married couple, played by Olivia and Seth, whose already strained relationship is tested when they host their mysterious upstairs neighbours for dinner.
Penélope stars as Pína, opposite Edward Norton as Hawk, with the evening taking increasingly unexpected turns. The film marks Olivia’s first directing project since 2022’s Don’t Worry Darling, and has already created plenty of buzz thanks to its sharply observed premise and all-star cast.
Penélope’s appearance came during a particularly busy week for her family. Just days earlier, her husband Javier Bardem was honoured with a hand and footprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, becoming the first Spanish actor to receive the distinction. The Oscar winner was celebrated by longtime collaborators Michael Mann and Denis Villeneuve, as well as his children, Leo and Luna.
The pair first met in the 1990s while filming Jamón, Jamón, but their romance did not begin until they reunited years later to star in Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Since then, they have largely kept their home life out of the spotlight while continuing to build two of the most respected careers in international film.
Penélope has won an Academy Award for Vicky Cristina Barcelona and earned further nominations for Volver, Nine and Parallel Mothers, while Javier has also claimed an Oscar for No Country for Old Men. Still, Penélope’s latest appearance was all about her own next chapter. With The Invite about to hit cinemas, the actress looked confident, relaxed and every bit the Hollywood leading lady.
