Nicole Kidman leaves fans saying the same thing as she reveals natural curls in rare new photo

Nicole Kidman delighted fans with a rare glimpse of her natural curls, swapping her signature red carpet glamour for a relaxed countryside escape that had followers rushing to the comments section.

The Babygirl star, 58, shared a laid-back photo on Instagram over the weekend that showcased a side of the actress rarely seen in public. Dressed casually in denim jeans, a blue button-up shirt and white sneakers, Nicole leaned against a farm fence surrounded by picturesque rural scenery.

“Weekend vibes,” she simply captioned the post, adding a yellow heart emoji.

While the setting was undeniably idyllic, it was Nicole’s naturally curly blonde hair that quickly became the focus of attention.

Fans were thrilled to see the Oscar winner embracing the curls that first helped launch her career in Australia more than four decades ago.

“The curls are back!” one follower exclaimed. “Weekend curls at that!” another added, while a third responded: “Yes to those curls. Just gorgeous.”

Others couldn’t help but praise her effortless beauty. “Gorgeous hair,” one fan wrote, while another commented: “This is the Nicole we grew up loving.”

Some fans even speculated that the actress may have been spending time at her beloved Southern Highlands property in New South Wales, where she and husband Keith Urban have often retreated to escape the pressures of Hollywood life.

The rare sighting of Nicole’s natural hair comes after years of the actress becoming almost as famous for her wigs as she is for her award-winning performances.

Throughout her career, Nicole has transformed herself for countless roles, regularly using wigs and hairpieces to create dramatically different looks. 

From sleek platinum styles to sharp bobs and rich red waves, her ever-changing hairstyles have become something of a Hollywood trademark.

In recent years, fans have become increasingly fascinated by the actress’s impressive wig collection, particularly after a handful of memorable appearances sparked online discussion.

One of the most talked-about moments came during the Cannes Film Festival last year when eagle-eyed fans noticed the mesh cap of her wig peeking through in photographs taken on the red carpet.

More recently, Nicole once again showcased her love of hair transformations during Paris Fashion Week in January. Although the actress appeared to be sporting sleek, straight locks, close-up photographs revealed subtle signs of a carefully positioned hairpiece blended seamlessly into her natural hairline.

Nicole has always been refreshingly candid about her love of experimenting with her appearance.

Speaking on Sunrise last year, she openly admitted that changing her hair is something she genuinely enjoys.

“As you know, I love changing my hair,” she said. She also laughed off speculation surrounding her dramatic appearance at the 2025 Met Gala, where many fans were convinced she had chopped off her famous locks.

“For the Met Gala, everyone was questioning if I had chopped my hair off. But no, I didn’t,” she explained.
