NBA athlete Anthony Edwards is officially a married man!
The Minnesota Timberwolves star tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Shannon Jackson, on July 16, according to Minnesota marriage records.
Reps for Edwards did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Fans began speculating about the couple’s potential marriage status last week after Edwards, 24, was spotted at Fanatics Fest in New York City, sporting a black band on his ring finger.
Edwards and Jackson went public with their romance in 2020. They are parents to daughter Aislynn, 2,
The NBA star previously made headlines for allegedly fathering three other children: daughter Aris with a woman named Daja (born in September 2023), a son named Amir with a woman named Ally D (born October 2023) and daughter Aubri’ Summers with Ayesha Howard (born Oct. 14, 2024).
Edwards’ wedding comes shortly after the professional athlete found himself embroiled in a highly publicized child support scandal with Howard.
The legal battle began in October 2024 when Edwards sued Howard in Georgia to establish paternity and child support.
In response, the model — who is also mom to son Jason with rapper Lil Baby — filed for their paternity and child support case to be heard in California in February 2025.
At the time, Howard claimed in documents that she and Edwards “spent time together in various cities while he played for the Minnesota Timberwolves and during his off-season. In January 2024, [she] discovered that [she] was pregnant with his child.”
She also included alleged screenshots of their texts, which unveiled how the NBA star responded to Howard’s pregnancy reveal over text.
One screenshot showed the mom of two writing Edwards, “I’m pregnant… wanted to tell you in person but you gave me no other choice. We probably should have kept it cordial but we’re here now.”
Edwards allegedly replied, “Ok lol. Get da abortion lol.”
In April 2025, the shooting guard agreed to give Howard temporary sole legal and physical custody of their daughter.
Despite the agreement, things became even messier in their contentious custody battle when Howard accused Edwards of “intentionally” hiding assets to avoid child support obligations for their daughter.
Edwards hit back at Howard’s claims with a response saying she “orchestrated a coordinated media campaign” to “pressure” Edwards into reaching a monetary agreement for their baby.
Throughout the scandal, Jackson stood by Edwards’ side and was spotted cheering him on courtside at several of his games throughout the season.
