Influencer Nara Smith announced in a heartfelt Instagram video that her 2-year-old daughter, Whimsy Lou, is now in remission.
âI just wanted to come on here and say thank you so, so much for all your kind messages, prayers, support. It truly has meant so, so much to us,â she told her followers on Friday, while holding a teacup and sitting in a field of flowers.
âLucky and I have been going through this and processing it for the last eight months, and we were debating on even sharing such a private part of our life,â she added, referencing her husband, musician Lucky Blue Smith.
The lifestyle influencer shared that sheâd decided to share an update ânow that [Whimsy] is finally in remissionâ and that she hopes to âshed light on what so many families go through and battle privately.â
Nara, 24, said that âgoing through chemo treatments opened [her] eyes to how expensive medical care is and what a toll it takes on families, specifically.â
The mom of four shared that she would be posting links meant to âhelp familiesâ going through similar ordeals.
âLucky and I have been trying to return to everyday life and taking it day by day,â she continued. âI donât know whether life will ever feel normal again. But weâre trying to navigate this next chapter the best that we can.â
Nara concluded by thanking her fans for their âkindnessâ and sending her âlove to families who are actively still going through this fight.â
Nara announced earlier this month via social media that her third child, Whimsy Lou, had been diagnosed with cancer âlate last yearâ and that there was âno easy way to say [it] or talk aboutâ it.
The TikTok star told fans that she and Lucky had taken their daughter to the emergency room after noticing âsomething suspicious,â after which they visited a pediatrician, who then told them to visit a childrenâs hospital.
âMy heart dropped in that moment,â she recalled. âI donât know whether it was my gut telling me something or just a momâs intuition, but the first thing that I felt was, âShe has cancer.ââ
Nara said that after âa lot of X-rays, ultrasounds and finally a biopsy, they immediately called us and said that she had cancer. [They] told us it had spread and that she need[ed] to come and start chemo treatments immediately.â
At the time, Nara did not provide further details, and explained that âprocessing this and navigating all of this as a family has been really hard.â
âWe wanted to share this to ⊠even incentivize you to go get something checked out that youâve been avoiding,â Nara concluded her post.
A couple of days later, she shared a glimpse of Whimsy, her bare head covered in gems, calling her their âlittle warrior girlđâ â as well as a snapshot of the childâs shorn curls on what appeared to be a bathroom countertop.
On July 7, she shared in another emotional post that her toddler was regrowing her hair after undergoing chemotherapy.
âIf sharing these pieces of our story helps even one family feel less alone, or encourages one person to learn more about childhood cancer, then this vulnerable part of our lives is worth opening,â she wrote in part. âToday her curls are returningđ€.â
Nara also shares daughter Rumble Honey, 5, son Slim Easy, 4, and daughter Fawnie Golden, who was born in late 2025, with Lucky. Lucky also shares daughter Gravity, 8, with ex Stormi Bree.
