Mike Vrabel and Wife Jen Make 1st Public Appearance Since Russini Scandal at Swift, Kelce Wedding

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and his wife, Jen, were seen in public together for the first time since the scandal involving NFL reporter Dianna Russini. 

Mike, 50, and Jen, 52, were spotted on video by Page Six leaving a New York City hotel on their way to the wedding of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift on Friday, July 3. 

The couple got into a black SUV, which whisked them away to Madison Square Garden for the highly-anticipated nuptials. Mike wore a classic black suit and tie, while Jen wore a light blue gown. 

Mike and Jen had not been seen in public together since the head coach was involved in a dramatic scandal involving Russini, 43. 

In April, Page Six published photos of Mike and Russini linking hands and sharing a hot tub at a resort in Arizona. The pair were subsequently seen in other photos and videos from over the years, including additional pictures published by Page Six that appeared to show Mike and Russini kissing at a New York City bar in 2020. 

Mike and Jen have been married since 1999 and share two sons: Tyler, born in 2000, and Carter, born in 2001. 

Russini and her husband, Shake Shack executive Kevin Goldschmidt, got married in September 2020 and share sons Michael, born in 2021, and Joey, born in 2022. 

While the Swift and Kelce wedding day marks the first time Mike and Jen have been seen in public, they did reunite in June to celebrate their son Tyler’s engagement, which was seen in photos posted via social media at the time. 

Mike has never expressly admitted to cheating on his wife with Russini, but he did briefly step away from the Patriots in April to attend couples’ counseling with Jen. 

“I promised my family, this organization and this team that I was going to give them the best version of me that I can possibly give them. In order to do so, I have committed to seeking counseling, starting this weekend,” Mike said in a statement to ESPN at the time. “This is something that I have given a lot of thought to and is something I would advise a player to do if I was counseling them.”

He added, “I have always wanted to lead by example, and I believe this is what I have to do to be the best husband, father and coach that I possibly can be. This is not an easy thing for me to admit, but it is one that I know will make me a better person. I appreciate the support that everyone has given me and promise a stronger resolve as a result.”
