Meet Paul Hogan’s six children – including son who helped write Crocodile Dundee

Crocodile Dundee takes the eccentric poacher out of the Australian outback he calls home and introduces him to modern life in New York City. Paul Hogan starred in and co-wrote the 1986 adventure comedy which found favour with ’80s kids and became a favourite watch for generations of adventurous tots.

The star has welcomed six children over the course of his marriage. Don’t know your Scott from your Brett or your Clay from your Chance? No worries, mate: we’ve got the run-down of the Crocodile Dundee star’s offspring – including the son who helped to write his father’s iconic role.

Who is Paul Hogan?

Paul Hogan is best known as Mick ‘Crocodile’ Dundee, the outback hunter, named after the large scar on his leg from a saltwater croc, who travels to New York and finds himself a fish out of water in the modern world. 

Comedy antics ensue and Paul’s talent for getting a laugh made the Crocodile Dundee franchise a favourite for kids around the world.

Paul Hogan has been married twice, tying the knot twice with first wife Noelene

Paul welcomed his first child Brett with then-wife Noelene

Brett Hogan

Born in 1960 in Sydney, Australia, Brett Hogan is an actor and writer. He is best known for his co-writing credit on Crocodile Dundee II (1988) alongside father Paul, and an acting role in Crocodile Dundee (1986).

Predating his work on his father’s well-known franchise, Brett is also credited on the camera and electrical team for Australia Laughs (1984).

Clay is the son of Paul Hogan and his first wife Noelene

Clay, along with siblings Brett, Scott, Todd and Lauren, is the child of Paul Hogan and his first wife Noelene Edwards. 

Paul and Noelene were married for over 25 years before they split in 1986. In 2000, Clay was pictured attending his mother’s wedding to Reg Stretton on 21 March.

Scott Hogan is one of five children welcomed during Paul’s first marriage

Scott Hogan

Scott Hogan is the brother of Brett, Clay, Todd and Lauren, and the half-brother of Chance Hogan. He is one of Paul Hogan’s five children from his first marriage to Noelene.

Since they parted, Noelene has spoken about the split, telling Woman’s Day that the couple didn’t speak for 17 years after they broke up.

Noelene and Paul’s son Todd has welcomed children of his own

Todd Hogan

Todd is one of four sons shared by ex-couple Paul and Noelene. Todd made headlines when he returned for son Jake Paul Hogan’s court hearing. Jake has reportedly struggled with addiction issues.

Todd is father to son Jake and Network Seven TV reporter Mylee Hogan. Todd made headlines when he flew from his home in New Zealand to support his son Jake during a court hearing, as Jake has reportedly struggled with addiction issues.

Lauren is the only daughter of Paul Hogan and his ex-wife Noelene

Paul Hogan welcomed his only daughter, Lauren Hogan, with his first wife Noelene.

Noelene and Paul reportedly parted ways when he left his first wife in 1990 for his Crocodile Dundee co-star Linda Kozlowski, with whom he welcomed son Chance.

Chance Hogan is the only child of Paul and his co-star wife Linda

Chance Hogan

Chance Hogan is Paul’s youngest child and the only son he shares with his second wife, and Crocodile Dundee co-star, Linda. He reportedly still lives with his father and made headlines when Paul addressed his son’s erratic online behaviour, which includes sharing videos of himself passed out at gigs.

Paul has credited his decision to stay in the US to business reasons and son Chance, though he has said Chance is doing “alright” despite the tabloid attention.

‘Crocodile Dundee’ continues to be a favourite for modern audiences and was re-released in 2025

Where is he now?

The Oscar-nominated Australian actor and comedian hasn’t left his Crocodile Dundee persona behind. In fact, in 2025 an ‘Encore Cut’ of the movie was released as a new version of the film.

Two-and-a-half minutes of footage were trimmed, removing scenes marked as insensitive by modern standards. The remastered version was released in Australia during May last year.
