Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen looked healthy and happy during a rare public outing together just days ahead of the 2026 Met Gala.

The twins were snapped in Manhattan Thursday, stepping out for lunch with a friend. The fashion moguls, known for their effortlessly chic style, were perfectly put-together as usual in dark ensembles consisting of black coats, pants and flat shoes.

The sisters, 39, accessorized with matching black leather crocodile bags, scarves and trendy sunglasses.

Mary-Kate and Ashley flashed big smiles as they strolled through the city and greeted their female friend with a hug outside a sidewalk café.

It is unclear if they’ll be attending the 2026 Met Gala on May 4. The theme this year is “Costume Art,” which is set to examine “the centrality of the dressed body.”

They last attended the Met Gala seven years ago, back in 2019, when the theme was “Camp: Notes on Fashion.”

The former child stars have lived a much quieter life after retreating from the spotlight and forming their successful luxury fashion brand, The Row.

Their last public outing was in November 2025, when they attended the 2025 CDFA Fashion Awards together in matching black coats and extravagant vintage Cartier jewelry worth more than $400,000 combined.

They skipped the red carpet but snuck into the ceremony held at the American Museum of Natural History, where they were honored with the American Accessory Designer of the Year award.

The two are extremely private about their personal lives.

Ashley and her husband, artist and painter Louis Eisner, secretly welcomed their son, Otto, in 2023.

As for Mary-Kate, she’s kept a low-key profile since settling her divorce from Olivier Sarkozy in January 2021 after five years of marriage.

Though, she did spark dating rumors with retired hockey player Sean Avery, after the two were spotted together in the Hamptons over Memorial Day weekend in 2024.

In October 2025, Mary-Kate was photographed during an unexpected sushi outing with Kendall Jenner. The duo exited celeb hot spot Sushi Park in West Hollywood, California, in photos obtained by Page Six.

The twins’ pivot to fashion is no doubt the lucrative choice compared to their television acting days — their “Full House” co-star Jodie Sweetin disclosed that she recently received a residual check for only $.01 for her eight-season stint as Stephanie Tanner on the iconic sitcom.

“I got a one-cent check the other day,” Sweetin said during her appearance on the “McBride Rewind” podcast on April 21.

She explained, “There’s no syndication anymore because it’s all in streaming. Who gets paid for that? Nobody gets paid for that.”
