LeAnn Rimes was forced to cancel two shows on her 30 Years of Blues tour due to a “severe illness”, as she shared with fans via social media on Wednesday.
The “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” singer took to Instagram to announce the news, writing: “Due to severe illness, I am unable to travel & perform this week. I’m sorry to share that the upcoming shows in Spokane and Seattle will be rescheduled.”
The April 30 show in Spokane has been rescheduled to May 31, while the May 1 performance in Seattle now falls on June 2.
“I am truly heartbroken to have to reschedule, and I am so very grateful for your kindness and continued support as I recover,” she continued. “I look forward to [being] back on stage and seeing you very soon. Love, LeAnn.”
LeAnn did not disclose what illness she was suffering from, yet the 43-year-old recently shared insight into her struggles with jaw tension, which she said stems from the “perimenopausal, menopausal journey” she is on.
The star underwent a deep jaw release procedure, which aims to manipulate connective tissue to release tension. The 9-1-1 actress shared in the clip posted to social media that she had “no idea there was so much tension” in her jaw. LeAnn has been open about her ongoing health issues in the past, particularly with perimenopause and psoriasis.
“For so long, it did feel like I was hiding so much of myself,” she told Us Weekly. “It did allow for the insecurity of thoughts I’ve had in the past about ‘I’m not pretty, I’m not good enough.’ I did learn how to love myself through all of my different incarnations.”

She explained that talking about her experiences allowed her to come to terms with her health struggles and to help others through them. “The same with my mental health and now with perimenopause,” she continued. “Every time I talk about it, I set myself – and someone else – free.”
“My physical health has been something I’ve focused on the past few years, and preparing my body for the changes it’s going through,” she added. LeAnn explained that getting help for her health issues had been an uphill battle, particularly when it came to addressing perimenopause.
“It’s been a journey of finding the right doctors who will listen to me and who will take the time,” she told the publication. “There’s such a conversation around hormonal replacement therapy. There’s very few doctors who actually will take the time and know enough about it to prescribe it properly. I went out of my way to dig deep and find the right one.”
LeAnn has been married to actor Eddie Cibrian since 2011, and the duo recently celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary with a bittersweet social media post amid their trip to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. LeAnn cryptically shared that there were “very tense, heart wrenching things happening at home with family”, but the pair were able to step away to celebrate their love.
“We’ve been through so much in our 15 years as husband and wife. We know how to ride the waves, hold each other in times of need, mend what needs mending. I’m so proud of what we have created together. 15 years is just the beginning,” she captioned the post.
