Hollywood shimmered with nostalgia as the stars gathered at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for the premiere of Michael, the hotly anticipated biopic celebrating the life and legacy of the King of Pop. But while the evening was filled with famous faces, it was La Toya Jackson who truly commanded the spotlight.

Arriving in a figure-skimming black gown, La Toya exuded timeless glamour. The strapless design, finished with delicate detailing at the neckline, was paired with opera-length gloves and statement diamond jewellery, a look that felt both classic Hollywood and unmistakably Jackson. Her honey-blonde waves cascaded over her shoulders, while a bold red lip added a touch of drama to the ensemble.

At 69, La Toya’s appearance was nothing short of breathtaking, drawing admiration from onlookers and photographers alike as she paused to greet fans and pose beneath the glittering “Michael” backdrop.

Standing proudly by her side was her nephew, Prince Jackson, who cut a sharp figure in a tailored black suit. Adding a subtle personal flourish, his jacket featured a crest detail, while a red armband nodded to a sense of occasion and symbolism. The pair shared a warm, affectionate moment on the carpet, underscoring the deep family connection at the heart of the evening.

The premiere quickly evolved into a full family affair, with members of the Jackson clan and a host of music legends coming together to honour Michael’s enduring influence.

The film also stars Miles Teller, Nia Long, and Kat Graham. “The film presents his triumphs and tragedies on an epic, cinematic scale, from his human side and personal struggles to his undeniable creative genius, exemplified by his most iconic performances,” the synopsis of the film reads.

“As never before, audiences will experience an inside look into one of the most influential, trailblazing artists the world has ever known.”

Prince’s younger brother Bigi or older sister Paris was not in attendance; in September 2025 she refuted claims that she was supportive of the film, after Oscar nominee Colman Domingo who will play Jackson patriarch Joe Jackson, alleged that both Paris and Prince had given their seal of approval.

“Don’t be telling people I was ‘helpful’ on the set of a movie I had zero per cent involvement in lol that is so weird,” she wrote. “I read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my notes about what was dishonest/didn’t sit right with me, and when they didn’t address it, I moved on with my life. Not my monkeys, not my circus. God bless and God speed.”
