Kris Jenner knows exactly how to command a red carpet, and at this year’s Met Gala, she reminded everyone why she remains one of the most enduring figures.

The 70-year-old momager turned heads the moment she stepped onto the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, radiating confidence in an intricately detailed ivory and crimson satin ensemble. Yet while the craftsmanship of her look was undeniably striking, it was her impossibly smooth, sculpted complexion that had everyone talking.

Fresh from shutting down rumours about her cosmetic work, Kris looked luminous, her famously sharp jawline and lifted features taking centre stage under the glare of the cameras.

Kris has never shied away from discussing her relationship with ageing, or the steps she has taken to feel her best.

After speculation surfaced that she was unhappy with the results of her $100,000 facelift, she addressed the claims head-on, making it clear she couldn’t be happier.

“I love my facelift. I adore my doctor. I’m obsessed with him,” she said, referring to renowned surgeon Dr Steven M Levine, often dubbed the “facelift maestro.”

For Kris, the procedure was never about chasing youth, but about refinement. “The goal was to do a beautiful lift and give me a refresh and do a beautiful jawline, which I achieved,” she explained.

And on the Met Gala carpet, that philosophy was on full display. True to the evening’s Costume Art theme, Kris embraced fashion as a form of storytelling.

Her richly textured robe-style gown featured ornate embroidery, shimmering beadwork and dramatic sleeves that framed her silhouette with regal ease. The deep red accents added depth and warmth, while her sleek, jet-black bob and softly smoky eye makeup gave the entire look a modern, polished edge.

Every detail felt considered, from her statement earrings to the subtle glow of her skin, a reminder that Kris understands the power of image better than almost anyone.

The evening was also a family moment, with Kris joining daughters Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner on the carpet.

In one striking moment, Kris posed alongside Kim, who wore a futuristic, high-shine amber bodysuit that contrasted dramatically with her mother’s more classical aesthetic, a visual representation of the family’s ability to bridge generations of style.

Kris has long been candid about her approach to ageing, refusing to apologise for the choices she makes.

“At 70 years old, I don’t really care what someone thinks of me. I don’t need anyone’s approval,” she said on a recent episode of The Kardashians. “I love my face. And I’m really okay with the way I look.”

She has previously described cosmetic procedures as part of her version of “ageing gracefully,” explaining that for her, it’s about feeling confident rather than conforming to anyone else’s expectations.

“Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself,” she shared with Vogue.
