The Princess of Wales recently confirmed that she and her family had welcomed a new puppy, Otto, into their lives. And during her appearance at a Buckingham Palace garden party, she shared a story that will be familiar to anyone with a pet pooch in their life.
Speaking with a guest at the party, she revealed that the puppy had âchewed quite a lot the other dayâ. The royal then added: âYou have to keep them busy. The first thing we do in the morning is check, âHas anyone taken Otto out?'â
The mother-of-three looked glorious at the garden party, which she hosted with her husband, Prince William, on behalf of King Charles. During the event, Kate was seen wearing a cream dress from Self Portrait. earrings from the late Queen and a personal bracelet.
New puppy
It was confirmed earlier this month that William and Kate had welcomed a new puppy into their family. The puppy came from a litter of their dog, Orla, who gave birth to four puppies last May, with the brood appearing in a social media video posted by William the following June.
The news was confirmed when Kensington Palace shared a photo of the pooch as he marked his first birthday. The caption read: âWelcome to the family, Otto! 1 today.â
Kate had previously confirmed that the family had a puppy living with them back in February, when she remarked: âWeâve got a little puppy, heâs only eight months.â
The familyâs other dog, Orla, has featured in some of the royalsâ most pivotal moments, including Kateâs video in which she shared an update on her cancer journey.
The dog appeared in the emotional family clip and sat by while the royal revealed her course of chemotherapy had ended and credited time spent in nature as a vital part of her recovery.
