Julia Roberts made a rare family appearance in New York City on Friday June 19, 2026, stepping out with two of her three children to celebrate a very special milestone.
The 58-year-old actress was spotted outside the historic Jane Hotel in Manhattanâs West Village with her youngest son, Henry Moder, who has officially turned 19 â and now noticeably towers over his famous mother.
Julia looked effortlessly elegant for the low-key outing, wearing a sleek black blazer paired with a pearl necklace and prescription glasses. She carried a large green-and-black handbag, keeping the rest of her look simple and polished.
Henry, meanwhile, opted for a casual all-black top, blue jeans and black boots as he joined his mum for the birthday celebration.
Also there for the family moment was Juliaâs daughter Hazel Moder, 21, who appeared relaxed and stylish beside her mother and younger brother. Hazel is one of Julia and husband Danny Moderâs twins, alongside brother Phinnaeus, who was not present for the outing.
The sighting was a rare glimpse into Juliaâs famously private family life. The Oscar-winning actress has long kept her three children largely out of the public eye, despite being one of Hollywoodâs most recognisable stars for more than three decades.
Julia and cinematographer Danny first met while working on 2000 film The Mexican. At the time, Julia was dating actor Benjamin Bratt, while Danny was married to makeup artist Vera Steimberg. After both relationships ended, Julia and Danny began dating and later married in July 2002.
They welcomed twins Hazel and Phinnaeus in November 2004, before completing their family with Henry in June 2007.
Over the years, Julia has spoken warmly about prioritising home life alongside her career, describing the family she has built with Danny as one of her greatest sources of joy.
While she has continued to take on major roles, including recent acclaimed projects such as Leave the World Behind and After the Hunt, the actress has remained fiercely protective of her childrenâs privacy.
That makes the New York outing all the more notable, particularly as fans caught a glimpse of just how grown up Henry has become.
Julia previously described him as a âtoweringâ teenager in a sweet birthday tribute when he turned 17.Â
With Hazel, Phinnaeus and Henry now all young adults, the Roberts-Moder household has entered a new chapter â but clearly family celebrations are still very much at the centre of Juliaâs world.
