Jessica Alba isn’t one to shy away from a little ink as she showed off her latest tattoo on social media this week. The actress took to Instagram on April 30 to debut her new upper back tattoo – and we’re obsessed with the result.
Courtesy of Los Angeles–based tattoo artist Winterstone, Jessica’s new ink features a phoenix rising, rendered in a delicate, stencil-like outline rather than bold, heavy lines. The photograph captured Jessica dressed in a white lace cami top with her hair tied into an elegant lower bum. She accessorised with a dainty gold chain necklace, with her new ink stealing all the attention.
“In love with how this turned out, thank you @winterstone,” she penned alongside the image.

This isn’t the star’s first tattoo. Back in February last year, she revealed a new piece of ink on her forearm. It featured a message in fine script inked by Daniel Winter once again. “The current chapter,” she captioned the post. The artist has worked with the likes of Matt Damon, Snoop Dogg, John Legend, Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, Emma Roberts and Mandy Moore.
© InstagramHowever, Jessica has previously admitted that she’s regretted a few of her tattoos – notably a floral design on her neck and a “kind of a tramp stamp” of a bow. “I got it when I was, like, 17 and I’m so irritated that I got it,” Jessica told Refinery29 of the flowers. “I got it lasered many times and it’s not coming out.”
She also has three zodiac constellation tattoos across her left arm for her children. She shared that she wanted the ink to be “meaningful over time” and that “kids are forever”.
In January 2025, Jessica confirmed her split from her ex-husband Cash Warren following 16 years of marriage. “I’ve been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years – both as an individual and in partnership with Cash,” she penned.
