Jennifer Aniston’s emotional final letter to ‘husband and father’ Matthew Perry goes up for auction

A handwritten letter from Jennifer Aniston to Matthew Perry is being auctioned off alongside several other of the late actor’s most prized possessions.

Heritage Auctions has partnered with the Matthew Perry Foundation to auction off 130 of his personal effects on June 5, 2026.

Among the items is a photo album titled “The One with the Last Supper,” which includes candid photos of Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Matthew, and Jennifer.

The photos were taken during the wrap dinner to commemorate the Friends stars’ final episode in 2004, a gift from Jennifer to each of her castmates.

Included in Matthew’s was an emotional letter, in which she described him as a “husband and a father,” despite there being no record of him having ever married or having children.

“Matthew. Oh my Mod…. How am (heart) going to live without your light in my life on a daily basis,” Jennifer began.

“I know that light has been dimmed at times and there were moments I was so scared it was going to go out all together. You have always comeback. I so thank you for choosing to live this life.”

She continued: “You have so much to give and not just on the masses with your talent but as a friend and a husband and a father. We have come a long way baby since that night we met at the bar whose home I can’t remember. Remember? On La Cienega. The sports guy?

“Anyway…. I love you dear friend. I am so proud of you and I am always here for you. You may not think to call me but I am always here. This has been quite a home we have shared and we so cherish it and you.” She signed off: “I love you. Jenny.”

Other items up for auction include 26 of his Friends scripts, his replica of the iconic yellow peephole frame from Monica Geller’s apartment, around two dozen Batman collectibles, his wallet, the 1995 Screen Actors Guild Award won by the cast, and Banksy’s “Girl with Balloon” and “Nola (Grey Rain).”

All proceeds from the auction will go to The Matthew Perry Foundation, which was founded after his death on October 28, 2023, and helps “others struggling with the disease of addiction.”

It is one more way we ensure that no one has to fight this disease alone.”
