Emily Atack is a vision in bridal white bikini after being forced to justify weight loss

Rivals‘ Emily Atack is counting down to her walk down the aisle. The bride-to-be, who got engaged to her partner Alistair Garner in July 2025, celebrated her hen do surrounded by friends over the weekend – and she teased her bridal era with a stunning sun-kissed swimsuit photoshoot.

The actress, 36, wowed in a white halter neck bikini while soaking up the summer sun from the pool. Emily was beaming as she posed on a friend’s shoulders before falling backwards into the water. “Hen Done,” she captioned the candid behind-the-scenes photos from her pre-wedding getaway. 

Emily’s Rivals co-star Lisa McGrillis showered her with love in the Instagram comments section, commenting several red heart emojis. 

The star’s latest photos come after she addressed comments about her recent weight loss last month. Emily shared she had lost weight after suffering from sepsis following the birth of her son, Barney, in 2024. 

“I was trolled for being enormous even when I was pregnant and I’m now trolled for having lost weight,” she told Grazia, “My body holds all my trauma as well as my happiness and joy,” she added, admitting her pregnancy was “very difficult” and she had been “very ill”. 

Wedding plans

Emily’s upcoming wedding to her fiance, Alistair Garner, is set to be a star-studded, three-day affair. “It’s a really exciting time. We’re so happy,” she previously told us exclusively. 

While on her hen do, Emily showed off her bridal style in a gorgeous veil and a flattering, floor-length sequin gown in a collection of photos posted to her Instagram Stories on Saturday 14 June.

Emily was glammed up for the special occasion with her blonde tresses curled and fashion in an up do. The bride-to-be watched the sunset from a balcony with a white veil pinned in the back of her hair. 

The Rivals star opened up to HELLO! about her upcoming nuptials, sharing that her “telly hubby”, Rufus Jones, will give a reading. “It’s going to be lovely. I’ve really enjoyed planning it,” she said. “It’s going to be three days of joy with all my favourite people; it’s going to be chaos.”

Emily has known her fiance Alastair since they were children. After reconnecting as adults, the couple got engaged in July last year. 

“I couldn’t ask for a better partner and Al is the only person on this earth that I could have done this with,” Emily told HELLO! in 2024 after the birth of their son Barney.

“It was a very difficult birth and after 12 hours of labour I ended up having an emergency caesarean, but he was so calm. All the cliches of life become true when you fall in love and have a baby. He’s my rock, but he really, literally, is my rock; I couldn’t do life with anyone else but him.”  

She continued: “He’s such a special person and we work so perfectly together. We always knew there were feelings there and when his dad sadly passed away last year, we realised life’s too short and decided to make a go of it, and I’m really glad we did. It has all happened very quickly, but I’ve known him for such a long time that it didn’t feel like a new relationship, I feel like we’ve been together for about 20 years. We would definitely love to get married at some point.”

The star said they have the same sense of humour and gushed she is glad to have “ended up with somebody who knows me so well and understands me completely and understands my life and my world.”
