Jenna Bush Hager revealed that her three young children had taken to calling her an offensive nickname, with its origins in internet slang. The TV personality shared on Wednesdayâs episode of Today with Jenna and Sheinelle that her kids, Mila, 13, Poppy, 10, and Hal, six, were calling her âBiggieâ at home, after picking it up at school.
âMy children have brought home a term that I wish theyâd left at the old door,â Jenna explained. âThey call me Biggie. Theyâre like, âOkay, Biggie!â And Iâm like, âExcuse me?â Theyâre like, âWhatever, Biggie!'â
âIâm like, âMila, stop saying this.â Halâs gonna go to school, and his teacherâs gonna be like, âNow, Hal, please turn in your homework.â And heâs gonna be like, âNo way, Biggie!'â she continued, before adding that her kids also gave the nickname to her husband, Henry Hager.
âYou know what it stems from?â she asked her co-star, Sheinelle Jones. âThe root word is âBig BackââŠ[Mila] has simplified it just to Biggie.â
âPart of me at first found it to beâŠI like humor in words, so I was like, âOh, thatâs creative.â But Iâm like, âStop calling everybody Biggie. Itâs gonna spread,'â she concluded.
Jennaâs eldest child is certainly not afraid to challenge her mother, and even gave her some honest advice ahead of the Today starâs meeting with Queen Camilla during the royalâs visit to the US.Â
âI really have been preparing because it wasnât just the interview. I also hosted a panel. I also had to introduce the Queen â imagine having to introduce the Queen!â Jenna told Sheinelle in April. âIt was a lot on my plate.â

âMila actually said, âYouâre talking too much about yourself,'â she continued. âI woke up at four in the morning yesterday, and I changed the introduction.â The teen, who also noted that her momâs hair âneeded some workâ, then sent her a sweet message after the meeting.Â
âShe wrote me on her iPad when she got home from school, âWhere are you?â And I said, âIâm still in the city. I just interviewed the queen.â And she goes, âProud of [you]ââŠSheâs never said that to me before. So I feel good about it.â
âI also think itâs really amazing that she gave me advice on something,â Jenna said. âAnd I was like, âYou know what? Sheâs right.'â
Jenna reunited with Queen Camilla 11 years after the royal first visited former President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush in the White House. During the 2005 trip that Camilla took with her husband, King Charles, they attended a dinner at the White House alongside Jenna and her husband, Henry.Â
âI love it that we can be back together,â the TV host told Camilla. âAnd loving books,â the 78-year-old added. âAs many of us have long suspected, books really are good for us. They also have a magical way of bringing people together with their ability to transcend any barrier.âÂ
